Today is my birthday,
Why did you come now?
Who invited you here?
Why that sudden longing for me???

Don't weep, sing songs in sad tunes!!!
I want to see you merry..
I'm happy you came,
But by then the song was over..

I'm happy and sad seeing,
The only ROSE you gave me!!!
You are too late,
Sorry I can't have them!!!

I can't smell em ,
embrace em tight..
For I lay in my eternal sleep,
my final niche,buried in soil..

Yes today is my  BIRTHDAY,
-MY BIRTHDAY FOR ETERNITY-!!!!
Maine Dela Cruz Nov 2017
’tis the time of year
when the sky appears bleaker
than it did
day has closed
its eyelids tighter—
longer nights
shorter days
bears of the North
pulling their blankets
for hibernation has come.

’tis the time of year
when things wrapped in gold,
red and blue
surround the tree
adorned with things
sparkling and shiny.
‘Tis the season
of merry-making
of thanksgiving
to Him whose love
has sent a Boy
to save the world.

’tis the time of year
when sock-adorned windows
wait for the potbellied man—
he wears red and white
his beard as white as snow
they say he rides on a sleigh
with reindeers pulling
Rudolph leading
flying, gliding
but none has ever seen one.

growing up, I learned
that ’tis the season
not made for kids
but a time for all
to laugh
to love
to celebrate
to breathe
to forgive
to accept differences
to give hope.

when winter wind
has breathed its first
December clock
will tick and tock
on longer nights
and shorter days
it’s time to pause
and ponder.

’tis that time of year.

Count me out
This Christmas!
I will go away
Out of your sight
On a lone road far away
Right this night
So you don't have to see my face
A place where you can not trace
You are a well put up show
I did care alot, you know!
But it doesn't mean anything to you
You are a hard hearted statue
No care, no love, no feelings at all
You mean business and money
And fame, hence you not lonely
It would make no difference
For you have many people around you
I was just a stained face, that's how you knew
It's just been an hour since I left your mansion
My phone keeps ringing seemed you in tension
No, this time am not answering your call
I had enough of respect, as you made me fall
Embarrassing me with your ego and arrogance
Told me, I was over him with my innocence
I am hurt, yes I am! Thanks for this gift
For this Christmas my emotions are adrift
You may forget me soon
But I will always remember you
As I remember this moon...

The blanket of stars draped over the sky
lighting up your path towards another book
Dip your feet into your overflowing ink of acquired wisdom,
Step on the blank first page of your own tome,
and dance your way across the page
Fill every inch
Write every name
Paint every memory
For a moment is all we are
And this moment is yours
the season, in which the bud will finally bloom
A girl you once were,
but now shall be regarded as a blossomed lady

And I will always be by your side
whenever you get tired
of dancing
of writing
of filling the blank paper
whenever your feet swell
whenever you run out of ink
whenever it gets hard to turn the pages,
I will be by your side

Let us turn every page of today into yesterday
For my bestfriend, Jen. Happy 18th birthday! I love you girl.
All the wonders of the world,
none of them could compare to how amazing the human senses work

Imagine unknowingly capturing little details of a person

Like how she only has that one small canine tooth
that you keep noticing everytime you think of her smile

Or the way she smells just like strawberries and rainbows
just when she runs her fingers through her hair

Maybe that little hick up sound she makes at the end of every chuckle, similar to the way she would pull back her tongue when ending a kiss

Oh what a wonderful gift
On this night I give to him
with my heart so full of love,
the beauty of the moon and stars
enchanting magic from above.

Within the wind, I give to him
the whispers of true romance,
swirling around his heart and soul
the beauty of lovers dance.

In the warmth of morning sun
I give the song of a dove,
to wake him from sweet slumber
with cherished music of love.

I give to him my love
sealed by destinies kiss,
a love destined for eternity
of forever pure bliss.

With all my heart and soul
a promise forever to be true,
the gift of each tomorrow
for love to bloom anew.

Temptations teach us how to suffer from a smile.
They teach us how to endure
to persevere
and to overcome.
They take your greatest weakness,
and transform it into your greatest strength.

That's all you were.
You were my temptation.
You changed me.
You "gifted" me with a transformation
that wasn't even for me,
it was to give you what you always wanted.
I was your doll.

Until the new one came one out.
Bright, shiny, and new.

You abandoned me, into the pit of your rigorous heart,
forcing medown, it didn't take long to reach the bottom.
All of your other dolls were underneath me.
Their stares all screamed, "I told you so"
and I shattered.
Solitary, and alone.
Broken.

F* my style
I don't
Have to
Rhym

Maybe I'm back there
Doing my time

In this room
Called attitude
You work me
Like a dime

I ain't gotta
Make money move
Just living
A hell of
A ride
BAM!!!
