you are a celestial body
a natural phenomenon
a beauty hidden so far away
but look closer; you tell a fascinating story in your own way

you are a galaxy
a gravitational system of stars
you emanate light and wake me up from fallacy
you remind me that somethings are bizarre
but thats just how things are meant to be
you emenate light stronger than darkness
because you choose to see the good regardless

just like how we choose to watch a movie so cliché even when we know its going to end in a certain way. just like how we try to stay even when things are not at bay. just like how we try to see the good in every day without worrying about dismay.

you are a galaxy
you have undergone stellar evolution
changes happened and it will always be the reality
you are a galaxy
you are made of stellar fragments
a massive remnant of what was once there to see

you changed over the course of time but what was once there will last for a lifetime. you will always evolve, you get better every time.

you are a galaxy
you have black holes; dark energy
but no let me tell you, you are anything but empty
you are a matter packed in that body
your gravity is so strong i cannot flee

you are so much more than darkness
you are my galaxy.

what if I told you
I saw a lioness with fire eyes?

what if I told you
I witnessed the collapse of a marble empire?

what if I told you
I saw ashes floating from a soul burned by passion?

what if I told you
I saw an ice-cold Phoenix raising from snow?

what if I told you
I saw a canary so joyful its melody charming even the shyest of sun rays?

what if I told you
I saw a golden but poisonous rose?

what if I told you
I saw waterfalls coming down from blue and green galaxies?

what if I told you
I saw honey dripping from a dark heart?

what if I told you
I saw a diamond so rare that its brilliance scared even the lightning?

would you believe me?
would you think I'm lying or fantasising or even creating metaphors of imagination?

but
what if I told you
to look in the mirror?
what if you see
what I once saw?

night wears a skin
of cold velvet
stippled with pores
through which illumination
prickles as the intergalactic whiskers
of Schrodinger's cat
catching the scent of gravity
Saige Aug 2020
The black cat sat on the road of the sideways door and asked me to ask a question unanswered by the universe, for it seemed a little trepidation to ask such a stranger as me whose permanence like the door has gone beneath the waves of light and into darkness below the sun and stars, deeper than the night-cat’s fur. Yet I knew the answer and asked the question, and the stars gleamed brighter that rust, and the galaxies I saw were within the slitted eyes before my face, though I did not fall to my forgottenness in that galaxy, but lived in my ghostly form, unanswering questions of old and trying not to remember my thoughts. The cat was unknown to me after that, the tail like a feather duster leaping among the moons of my world, crowing down at me from branches and constellations. I wonder how the universe would think of such a black cat, one who does not mind the coldness of ghosts or stars, or the unknowingness of such things, and who asks for askers and questions them until the dust settles and transforms around it.
Is this prose? I don't know. More like a train of thought ascending to the stars...
This is what I do to procrastinate writing essays for school.

Constellations

A roadmap of our galaxy,
Intricately placed to create the Orion belt
introduces  the --
Taurus and Draco.

Discovered: given
Names and epithets that act as
bandages of history and hope;
pillars of the past, broken and shattered;
not only good memories do the constellations hold.

A roadmap millenniums aged
and still cryptic, enigmatic.
There for the fall of the Roman Empire:
A witness of the fallen bodies and cracked glass
human hearts of Auschwitz.

Constellations: surrounded by onyx, stars doctoring the constellations,
creating stories -- undiscovered and renewed.

A galaxy of muted midnights, murky blues,
darkened purples, vibrancy and life present one day,
muted and cloaked in obsidian
The next.
Maybe I was wrong searching for the brightest star in the sky,
When I could have found the entire galaxy in your eyes.
A love worth the depth of an entire galaxy - myth or reality?
Gabriel Girault Aug 2020
If the world was to end,
Would you stay with me? Would you laugh with me? Would you cry with me?
We will all die one day, we can enjoy our time together, or we can sit and wait for it to fall.
Maybe we can save the world!
It would be simple, all we would have to do is Love. You may wonder how that could change anything. Well it has the power to change the galaxy. Love has the power to take away breaths,
Love can bring life back.
When you are down and sad it can make you smile with the biggest heart you could imagine. Whenever you smile it puts my heart into a leap of Love.
I enter a world where nothing matters, it is a place I would Love to live in with you.
The politics of the world would never  be a thought when we are together.
So do you believe me when I say we can save the world?
Because our Love is my world.
And if the world ended, I would be lost, I would have no home.
I need you not because I simply Love you. I need you, because you can save me,
you can save my world.
There is no pressure in this world, because we always have each other's backs.
Through all the hate in the world, our Love would slice through it, our worlds would become one, and nothing could stop that Love from ever dying.
Only thing that would matter is our Love and the world we made from it.
