Across the sky, dauntlessly, watching,
Shoes in cigarette stems while I
Wonder what flight's like.
Would I transition softly with the means?
Wingspan cutting resistance leaving me freedom
to fall, or better, to land when I see
earth worth tasting in the air around
mirrors in sanctuary.

Across the ground, dauntlessly, watching,
Shoes in cigarette stems while I
Observe my life like
Stone in the wind, steady as the leaves blow
Leading and closing the shows before and after
to end, like weather, and begin again
Forces to withstand time while I walk
sit, or lie where I go

What it looks like
What it is
Ends and means,
unanswered wishes
What it looks like
What it is
Ends and means
within reach will I take,
Palms wide open

It's alright to cry
Even my dad does sometimes
So don't wipe your eyes
Tears remind you you're alive
It's alright to die
'Cause death's the only thing you haven't tried
But just for tonight hold on

So live life like you're giving up
'Cause you act like you are
Go ahead and just live it up
Go on and tear me apart

It's alright to shake
Even my hand does sometimes
So inside the rage
Against the dying of the light
It's alright to say that death's the only thing you haven't tried
But just for today hold on

So live life like you're giving up
'Cause you act like you are
Go ahead and just live it up
Go on and tear me apart hold on

Live life like you're giving up
'Cause you act like you are
Go ahead and just live it up
Go on and tear me apart hold on
even my dad does sometimes // ed sheeran

I'll be eaten alive one day:
one day, i see it in my mind
so close to closure along an empty street
late at night
(owls just retired and birds
not yet up),
orbs of light tethered to tall electric poles
cast dappled circles on cracked pavement;
illumination and safety
(for that two metre radius).

Stepping between them
like a girl child on stones
across a garden,
I anticipate each missed step
as sinking into sand or frightful waves.

Singing drunk back-alley lullabies
i'll soothe the skelebabies in their sleep,
their poor crusted noses snuffled against
a cold shift of air
(their private torment plastered over billboards
with corporate logos and dim colours,
suggesting the city's lights have gone out and
the local government is in frantics.
That is, after all, what you'd focus on)

Girl child games were so tipsy and magic
(and so close to real coldness);
between two orbs of light i'll slip
through the cracks
in the pavement.

THE END.

(eat me alive,
eat me alive,
eaten alive by the
wolf at the door)

Soon the northern sun has a corona
nations bound to its regal attitude tide
high sea son's tossed
a half crown head turning golden summer
seas on ends
to land shiny tails down south
as if every sea's on wings
away to seek or sink an immortal sun
I stand on
the divide
feeling the hesitation

two day's
the moon's
seas wax fuller
bridges
spangling love waves
from a salt shaker
on a pearl within
your aphrodisiac
world is my oyster

hinge wriggled open
to be held at bays
sliding into the mouth
of nature's hunger
for where a tan fades
into season spicy
summer's parting harvest
of farewells

surface mining to be done
by stripping vegetation
down to bare branched amber
ore deposit shafts
of light marking
the sun dial's changed number
with your toppled hourglass figure
a vase
pressed with dahlia
and salvia flower
upset without the friction
of pepper heat
milled into smooth skinny
latte malt
drunk on moisture
laden skies

layered over swaying
thought bubble dreams
of cloudy evenings
freckled rain
and streaming grain
fleeing the field seemingly overnight
as fleeting as goals
scored between our legs
running off home
hands full with harvest in
cartwheeling arcs
stored with the last gasp
solar flared nostrils
wild as meadow ripened
yearlings

in the joy of escape
we join their bare backed
flight circuiting dizzy
shamanic heights only to fall
back to earth like Pegasus
shaking off Bellerophon
striking a mount Helicon
with hooves whose marks
cause springs to channel
fountains of inspiration
after defeating a Chimera
with great spirited whinnying
breathing out tipi fire vents
gone sweat lodge native
skins lashed outside
keep the glow snug inside

rustling about the bite
incoming winds of change
fright the landscape
flocking to shower
in fresh cooler air
lifting us like birds to shadow
the moves to renewed
lighter climes leaving
soaked sticks
dripping acorn colour
scattering an autumnal quilt
around tired bed fellows
an interlocked cycle pattern
for coming riders on the storm
to be in memory trunks
splashed with mist
pooled effort

released to dry and recover
side-by-side
once the wardrobe fills wooly
headed
for warming coats of evening
russet
we settle tone down on a chill out
wish
list ridden dotty by a love chauffeur
cycle
ticked off sun set to be sent
to bed early
just when ours clock on two
four
season
happy hour

A vision of perfection under moonless skies
And in their hearts but hopes and dreams
Numerous as the stars up high
Disappears as he holds them, into unlit stream...

In the bright sky-light of a moonless night
When shadows dance on darkened sand
When loudest words swim in soundless sight
In waves of water, on waves of land

Twilights last rose gave up its golden dust
As nightingales at large, bereft of voice
The yellow-red orb of the sun grew cold in the dusk
And humanity forgot, gave up its choice

And still he chased his flagrant dreams
Bleeding soles, he ran, burnt fingers still held
Heart ache and disappointment he passed in reams
The insanity of desire, none could mend.

And in his madness he found peace
And in his dreams a quiet solace
When fear and joy mingle, love and hate released
Where life is lived with no thought for the debased

On he walked on a thousand mile road
A thousand mile was walked, was none
On he walked with a hundred tonne load
A hundred tonne he carried as none

With no end in sight an end was found
A sightless silence, a visionary tune
Where the air was earth, where ocean-ground
When water could start and oil put off all fumes

With a vision of perfection under moonless sky
And in their hearts but hopes and dreams
Numerous as the stars up high
Reappear as he holds them, from moonlit stream...

It alway's starts with an ending.
A death. An explosion. A whimper.
Sending those into the sense of Impending
doom, as the fear of the future looms.
Descending further from understanding
We unravel as we are tangling
Up in the spinning world- to fast
to to just stay standing. We run
Knowing that it ended as it begun.
Handling our own- Two hands, one gun.

You see I'd rather bite the bullet.
than loose it or fire blindly. Aiming
neither at the mother or the egg- but the pullet.
Standing behind me is my shadow-
He holds the gun steady- his aim narrows
And foolish he fires inside me.
He's devilish in nature
But his intentions are pure and holy.
A strikingly dark creature
Who insists the world persists slowly.

He told me we all run fast when we're scared.
It's those who can keep the pace,
Even when the are not dared, that deserve honour,
recognition and maybe even fame.
But it' those same people who- when it ends-
Will take the blame.
Sometimes you're mind wanders off when you think about the earth spinning.

sometimes, it's just the way you see the world
you can look at a deep bad situation
and still find something good in it

you can look at something considered ugly
and find the most beautiful thing in it

but i'm sorry if i can't find anything positive
whenever people are searching for their loved ones
between dead bodies and ashes

i'm sorry if i can't find anything good
whenever i see a grieving parent
talking about how they're never going to hold their kid again

hearts not only broken but destroyed
all over the world

and there's this question that lingers
"will this have an end?"

I hate you having my voice laced on your iPhone.
Me being me,
Because despite all of you
I'm simply me.
On your iPhone...
Until I'm not.
Tying up loose ends, forced to leave a voicemail.

Nothing really is over
it just no longer continues
to be important
for example
you are dating this boy
he is what you envisioned
as your ultimate fantasy
things go chaotic
and nevertheless,
you break up
see
the connection you once made
doesn’t disappear
it fades away
and if you never made a connection
then there was nothing started
in the first place
every person you have ever contacted
any person you have kissed
anybody who has a been a best friend
is important
but when you distant the connection
modern term
defriend ex boyfriend
that person slowly vanishes
into oblivion
but the thing is
it’s not over
truly they aren’t important to bettering your life anymore
