Cweeta Cwumble Nov 2016
like the flick of a light switch,
he can turn me on, but
he lingers with the dimmer,
keeping my
bulb warm,
heating me up
and then
warming me down
with just the tips
of his fingers
setting the
mood
just
right
and i love how
he makes me feel
electric.

Our souls are extension cords
meandering through the junkyard heap
looking for an outlet.
Kewayne Wadley Sep 2016
We were but strikes of lightening sealed in a glass jar
Flumbling about
Nowhere to go
Exhaushed, we conducted ourselves
With a slight curb of enthusiam
Sprung to life with the slightest touch
Electric current twirling forward, then back
Sparks igniting beneath our toes
Traces of where we've been crackled
Sizzled in a flash by the dark spot of glass
We were irresponsible in the abduance of each other
The glass soon stained by soot
Purified by the euphria of what came to be known as climatic
Every taste
Every passion
Soon expoliting what soon came to be known as each other
We polluted ourselves with each other
Becoming the overcast beneath the top of the sealed jar
Surrounded by absolute dark;
The way I saw the universe in her eyes
Laying beneath the night sky surrounded by acres of  thought
Vast in length
Breathless in thought
A jolt of vibration quivered in heart

I'm standing above the ground, detached and rearranged. Atom bombs are in my brain. So strange.
Electricity tumbling down, but there is no way to touch down. Fear of death keeps me up at night, fear of a thunderstike.
Then the Lightning is in my mind, and I need Someone who won't hide, and who will be my lightning rod.

Your tiny hiccups break
the silence of a room full
of mechanical people with their
perfectly rehearsed
Cheshire Cat grins
and
I move like a marionette puppet
that had too much coffee
except
this interruption in my system
is caused by the
electricity
that surged through
my stomach
when we locked eyes
so now I feel
sick
but in an oddly pleasant way
I'm sure
Tesla would have been so
ecstatic
about our spark

We had the ability to
create sparks just by touching and
we could have lit the whole city
By just looking into each other's eyes
you could have been the street light
And I could have been the shadow
Instead I am a city fountain of
what ifs
People toss their wishes at me
As if it is my job to grant them happiness
From within the depths of
my sorrow
I just wanted to be your light however,
Everyone knows water and electricity
are disastrous lovers
Danielle Rayn Apr 2016
Such pretty eyes
filled with bloodlust
and I know I should leave
but you're so much fun

you make me feel so alive
like electricity surging through water
and I know we're gonna die
*but there's so much laughter

Even the sturdiest trees in my backyard quiver like mad in the breath of a strong breeze. I am like them, as I panic over the thought of watching you brush effortlessly past my shoulders, the way hurricane wind has the power to sweep a grown man off his feet. I am cautious, tiptoeing around the idea of your absence like fallen power lines in the rain, trembling as I carry the precious moments I have spent with you in the safety of my own coat pockets so they will never feel the agony of electrocution. I am electrified, as I seek shelter from the storm within the comforting warmth of your arms. There are places where the sun flutters her fiery eyelids against waves that kiss shorelines like familiar relatives. There are places where park benches call us by name and ones that long day and night for our feet to grace their unexplored streets. There are words that hang in the atmosphere like hot air balloons waiting to carry us to newborn horizons. It is strange, how there are places where the skies do not bleed threats or cry in languages we cannot understand. How I know that we are metal statues standing embraced in a field during a lightning storm, and yet I would rather get struck with the energy of a thousand prayers if it meant that I could stay, frozen in time, for an eternity we are not guaranteed.

In love am I
With the map of your mind.
In love with the lightning strikes
as it brushes with mine.
In love with its solarflares
and softlights.
I play the astronaut
In love with your night sky.
akin the universe, you're never fully knowable.
And that only pulls me closer to your side.
I'm lost in your deep space and theres nothing but you.
your , stars, galaxies, nebulae,
planets and distant moons.
I'm in caught deep in love and that's the truth
