i am falling apart.
i sit alone, with torn garments i can’t bear to throw away,
wonder about a life -more like a pipe dream,
when in reality when we try, we are the type they write sad piano odds about.

i say goodbye,
pulling my sweater close to my chest shivering by the door,
and picture us in a warm place, surrounded by people offering us hands,
dancers moving around us, soft and slower.

whispered words, becoming us.
but i can’t whisper to you, because my voice comes out in screams,
yet all i hear is an orchestra the rest of us could never afford,
only dream of.

we try so hard,
and by the time we’re at the top -we shall be,
i think i’ll have lost you,
to the vines that break the soft stones in the sun.

do lovers, the ones who have love,
that seems as if it’s boundless,
in death that makes it timeless,
live in time, or do they ascend to the stars?

will it ever be that the last time becomes the first time,
as each touch becomes more intense,
because each touch is so much closer to the last time,
when i know you’ll fall into a future you hate.

lingering fingers,
pressed against your soft skin,
who’s soft skin?
hers, hers, hers?

fingers that press with more and more urgency,
arms that wrap tighter and become more frail,
eyes veiled with more and more sadness,
our love could fall to ruins.
inspired by james bond, bad dreams, sufjan stevens, crushes, adele, love, dreams, and some other crap. yes i write poetry and watch spy movies don't ask.

I tell people I'm fine
But honestly, I'm dying
No one is there
And no one will care
Whether I'm here
Or whether I'm there
I can not escape
The rays of you
I tried to get away
From the thing
That hurts me the most
But you always come back
Ur in my dreams
And ur in my head
But I'm fine.

VULTURE, circling
on the blood sky,  shot
Dropping dead
Oh No One Nov 2018
I sit here in the cold and think of you
I think of winter
I think of that winter
Now this winter is slowly approaching
The closer it gets
The closer I am to you
Like Odysseus in his travels
I have been peregrinating
But now here in the cold I remain
I am not done with my journey
I have not yet returned to my Ithaca
I have not yet returned to my Penelope
I have only just come to an Ithaca
There is no Penelope here
Here it is cold like your hands on my chest that winter
Now this winter is slowly approaching
The closer it gets
The closer I am to you
Like Odysseus in his travels I have met many a muse
But none could compare to you
Their warm hands tried to warm my cold heart
But they tried in vain
Your cold hands on my chest that winter
Were the only hands that have triumphed
In that monumental task
Now this winter is slowly approaching
The closer it gets
The closer I am to you
Like Odysseus in his travels
I was lost for so long
I’m just trying to find a way home
I was once scared I may never return
And may never be back with you
The only way I could be
Was to think of us that winter
Now this winter is slowly approaching
The closer it gets
The closer I am to you
Like Odysseus in his travels
I have finally set a course for home
When this winter finally arrives
I’ll be back in my Ithaca
I’ll be back with my Penelope
With my muse finally at last
But this winter is slowly approaching
The closer it gets
The closer I am to you
I sit here in the cold and think of you
I just hope I can last
For my eternal muse

Its hard to float
When the word
want me to sink

I've walked a desert
I'll do it again
I've fought an army
Never felt the pain

I'll keep going
Never stop flowing
To find you
That's what I'll keep doing.

My every struggle
My every scream
My every word
Is me calling on to you

It may be blurred
I know, I am heard
My voice reaches you
But you can't see me
I am lost in a herd

Either find me
Or don't stop me
I won't back down
Till I Completely Drown

In my time of dying
Remember, I was always trying
To do better, to be better
To love, be loved
To gleam my dreams
And be someone who matters
To the world, to you.
Not sure when it all shattered
And life became a jarring mess
But now I couldn’t care less
I did what I could
I’ve played my feud
And now It’s my time of dying
Just remember, I was always trying

Life is like a suicide hike,
Although it's a beautiful trail
It's scary to think one day we'll fall.
We fall because we walk on edges,
Some worth walking on, some not.
Ultimately, we learn from both.

Be careful who you choose to walk with,
Be careful who you choose to sit with.
Because they may just push you off
And way down you'll be falling down.
But sometimes it wasn't them who pushed you off
But it was them you thought would help you up.

And when we've hit our lowest point in life
We start looking for the root of our pain,
But it's dark and empty, it stings we feel lost.
It's no paradise down here, the pain feeds on our strength.
It's a tragic accident that breaks all of our bones.
With no paramedics or anesthesia, we've got to operate ourselves.
We don't know which injury is killing us more,
But we know a slow death is coming for us.
Our blood no more, regret is what the heart pumps now,
We scream and cry away our mistakes
But down here is a curse playing our fall in a loop,

I don't know when it stops
I'm drowning myself in my pain.
I've stained my soul with too much hate
I'm no longer the person who I used to be.
I've been down in the dark for too many days
But when I start my hike again
I hope to go further than yesterday.

Why do I plan for the future,
When I won’t I’ve past twenty-one?
Why do I still bother trying,
When I just want life to be done?
They all say I’ll do great things,
Even though I can’t get out of bed,
So what’s the point in waking up,
When I feel I’d be better off dead?
Loneliness consumes my heart,
And sorrow consumes my soul,
So how can they see anything in me,
When my future’s as dark as coal?
They all say that they’d miss me,
But I know that they’ll be fine,
No one could ever miss,
A life as worthless as mine.
