A flash of bright light
A meteorite
Shooting across my universe

Destroy
              ing          every
                              thing
                        in
                   it  s
                                                 path

                        (for the better)

Leaving fragments of burning matter
Shards of glass in the ******, beating sun (my heart)
As quickly as your burning fire came into my sight, you were gone

Nothing

(but vivid memories, toasted lyrics and throbbing heartache)

Complete and utter destruction.
Mentally and physically.
You’ve destroyed me.
I won’t let it get to me now.
But I’m going to forever know, that you destroyed me.
And that’s the one thing that’ll sit in my mind.
The idea that you can live your life without any disturbance of me.
But I have to live mine, with you constantly in my wake.

The thought itself is destructive.
You are destructive,
and I was unfortunate enough
to cross paths with you.

I give up my humanity,
With each heart beat, defeat.
Each time I draw breath, death.
Morals left on the pew.

I'm more than rules,
More than the age of trust,
More than kings and fools,
Nothing more than dust.
E McNamara Mar 2018
I own the world
On a silver platter,
It is mine to destroy-
It is mine to devour.
When I'm hungry,
I will slice with silver knives
And scoop with silver spoons.
I will swallow the world whole.
And dab the corners of my mouth
When I'm done.
And everyone will know it was me.
Suggestions on this one? I'm trying to improve it to it's fullest!

You always made it known
protested with a ***** and moan
about how my lips curled around cigarettes
when you aren’t home.

Testifying in a patronizing tone
that someday I’d end up alone
if the habit wasn’t thrown.

You just envied
the way they were slowly ******* my life
wishing you still had that power.

How to destroy your daughter in 14 easy steps

1
Give her a pretty good childhood
let her fall in love with playing outside
with running and exploring

2
let her fall in love, with a boy
let her see him everyday
let her text him every second
let her love his every movement

3
take him away
ban her from ever seeing him
talking to him
loving him

4
watch her cry--
and pretend it's not your fault

5
take away her outside
she might see him there
take away her exploring
she might find him there
take away her ability to run
she might run, into him

6
tell her ‘you were too young’

7
tell her ‘you were too naive’

8
tell her ‘he wasn't right’

9
tell me I'm old enough to date

10
tell me/ her* she's not allowed to date

11
Wait--

wait for her to fall apart so bad that she doesn't realize she is broken
Wait,
for 3 years
until she asks for therapy

12
pretend like you care

13
pretend like you don't know why this is all happening

14
it doesn't matter what you do next,
she's broken--
I'm broken.

Dead
          Way ahead
                                                       Demons unfed
Lost
                      And led
                                                           Unlevel
head
                                      Misread
Time for bed
