a bird stretches its wings
stretched so far, blue becomes
black and white becomes grey.

jagged feathers and
sharp talons cut into the earth
scarring what would have been.

the beat of its wings so
booming, even thunder
won’t come out and play.

it breathes ice
freezing the ground it feeds upon
and it’s captors.

death was never welcomed until now.
guess what the pictures i was looking at was

she's got eyes blue enough to swim in,
deep enough to drown in.
she'll make you want to get lost at sea.
i didn't know it was possible to love the undertow
until i met her.
she will draw you in
just like the moon pulls the tide
in an attempt to keep the two bodies together.
yet she will ward you off,
keep you at bay.
it's hard to fall in love with a sailing ship from the dock.
she is a beacon of light too bright to observe.
her hands are the coldest you'll ever hold;
i think her heart is too.
she's always been too scared and unprepared
to let anyone get close to her.

the girl that carries the weight of the world on her shoulders
but isn't strong enough to walk away.

so i guess this is it,
the end of forever;
no one could've seen this coming.
the separation of past, present, and future.

past:
a smile from you
could spawn
a kaleidoscope of monarchs
in the pit of my stomach.
i fell in love
with the way you rested your chin
upon my head,
we were invincible.
i could have laid in your arms
for years.
i would have.
i had enough hope to feed a village.

present:
you tell me
this was long overdue,
that we're past our prime,
but there's no expiration date
on the sound of your laughter.
how do i explain to you
there are parts of my life
that move slower
without you in them?
today i am a quiet shade of blue.

future:
people will ask me
what was loving him like?
and i will smile and say
it was as if
the sadness had never swept me
under the rug
.
i will tell them
how i felt whole,
how you gave me something
to look forward to.
i will tell them
how you lit a fire in my chest
and evacuated only yourself.
no words,
no warning,
not even the butterflies
made it out alive.
i should have known this was coming
by the way you always reeked of smoke
and bad intentions.

you see,
i confused you for someone
who would hold my hand
when things got dark.

i just wish i had some closure.

shimmering and blue
the ocean tides crash
into the steer of my mind
leaving it up to chance
too often do the odds favor the abyss
feeding me into the bedrock
to be frozen in time
breathless and hardened

Awakened lonley and blue
by a deceptively beautiful hue emanating deep from within the skies devide.
The horizion I eye, and think....
..Soon.
      And
                   Then.
Soon,
I find myself, Eyes wide to the sky
Where the perimeter it bends.
Flying high, wild inside. We tried,
But could never ever find the end.

           The
                         End.
Heart of shattered dreams,
Illusions on all screens: Possibilities screams!

Heart of mine, broken, blue,
                                               cry for the love lost.

For the pride of your greatest, the mightiest,
                             your beloved.

Admiring your strength, your truth,
in times of loneliness, no despair,
Heart of darkness, heart of wishes, desires and hopes.
                             Melting away,
Giving life to a soldier,
                                      worthy.

What to do for you, dear?
Do deserve your kingdom, of broken hearts, loose, lovely!

Fake happiness, turning into a real miracle,
Your soul says it all, there's no need of cruelty call.

Life to create out of nothing, out of shame, out of something...
Examples to take.

"Did I expect anything else from you?
How dared I?"
(to know, to care, to hope)
Believing was probably my greatest mistake,
Not
"Problem causing distress
                                          more agony .(?).
Sure!"

Bring it on, ready for one more fight?
Yes, I was trained right!
Do I care?!

Heart of shattered hopes,
Illusions, dreams and lores,
Realities for people to live.
Humans to love...

Did I expect anything better from you?
(For my own sake)
                                 I hope I did not!

blue is the color that I choose
when I choose to sing the blues
in blue bow tie and navy shoes
royal, sapphire, midnight, who's

24 shades will I unveil
aqua, turquoise, powder, pale
Ocean blue escorts winter's hail
Carolina skies, electric eyes
of baby blue
a friend asked for a poem of blue

seem to have,

I hope you don't understand my poetry
cause then it'll mean you're blue like me
I hope when you read it you don't get a thing
cause my words scream nothing but empty

I hope when you look at the stars, you wish
not stare and think of ending it
I hope when the sun rises you smile
not thinking that you wish it didn't

I hope at night when you lay in bed
you won't think you'd rather be dead.

but if you understand my poetry, I'm sorry.

Sky is vast
besides
painted in
blue opulence.
But the eyes
are on
the small earth!
