I wish you had wanted me
Half as much
As I wanted you.
I wish you had known
That your words, they stung
They were a bee's stinger to
Bare skin- they dug.
Those words dug,
Below the surface
Until bleeding occured.
I wish you had wanted me
Just one half as much
As I wanted you.
I needed you.
waltzing into life
the bee is
one of many.
their heart yearns
for sweet nectar,
or maybe love,
or just time.
but honestly, it’s
a short life
and the days
stretch as thin
as the webs
that hide in
the smallest corners.
is it so much
to ask for
a little more
time?

And just like that, he came.

Dressed in gold,
I’ve gotten a hold
Of the inevitable truth:
An indelicate one, uncouth.

He was eager
As he wanted to go deeper;
With nothing to restrain,
We submitted to each other’s gain.

And he ******.

With all the glory
Not in any hurry
He was on top like a king
Punishing, demanding.

Finally filled with glee,
He pulled out of me;
He was never meant to stay
So I had to give way.

And he left.

That one stare
you gave me from across the room.
Showing me how disappointed
you are that I no longer is yours to keep.

I feel every inch of my body
filled with terror.
Because you blame me
for moving on when you haven't.

You gave me no reason to stay
or obey.
But I will never recover
from your straight, lonely stare.

I hope you now learn
that you can't cut the wings
off the flying bee
and expect it to collect nectar.

For I am no longer present for you.

A little bumblebee
Caught in spider's silk
Sings the call of his people.

You don't understand yourself.
So why should anyone else?

- Said the bird to the bee

Words drip from your mind
water the consciousness
grows the sentence
that formes in you mouth

- "Be my bee to my bird"

honey bee stung hard,
driving in its venom deep,
arresting my pain!

they are beautiful nectar collectors,
they're busily pollinating,
viciously cooperating,
and skillfully propagating from petal to petal.
as they flitter and hover,
acting as ambrosia vessels.
from marigolds to foxgloves,
and even to blooming nettles.
they've been having a rough time
buzz buzz
If she wasn’t hooked on honey
she would fall down on my page
I rescued a blue-winged bee sage
I hope she’ll enjoy her stay
in my human home
She strains her abdomen
I pray it’s not a bad omen
her Hermes powers at rest
Did she leave her nest in earnest
I found her on lonely gray stairs
I pray she heals from her despairs
as the carpenter bee sleeps dangled
To my honey lathered chopsticks
I admire her frail black body
I gently blow on her she’s inside
my heart. I felt hers when she
Gripped my thumb.

I found a carpenter bee on my way to work and she hadn't moved when I walked up to her a couple of hours later. I took her home and I'm nursing her.
