I’ve found a friend in many hues
In a bottle of broken promises;
Who cares if it comes in blues
And takes the form of empty kisses?

It’s quite a sick obsession
In the worst possible degree;
It’s like an ill temptation
In which you can never disagree.

What do you say, I need a hit
Just a dose of a little something;
It doesn’t hurt, not even a bit
Well, this is my kind of healing.

I’m like a human form of chemical mixture
With a life that’s so unsure;
And this time capsule-like pleasure
Is what makes the absolute cure.

It’s mad love, you see
Like the Joker-Harley Quinn way,
I’m confined yet I am free
Which tastes like ******’ May.

Here’s the thing…
I just can’t quit.

I’ve watched you move dust from the earth
With every speck turned into gold;
I’ve watched you sweep the ashes from the hearth
And thus, grief is laden in the mold.

I’ve seen you maneuver a ship on sail
Like a deity between the land and sea;
I’ve seen you move past through the hail
And the trees swayed with their leaves at plea.

I’ve noticed your stillness through the dark
In which it seemed so delightfully right;
I’ve noticed the bareness you left as a mark
When the ambience had turned sour at night.

I’ve recalled your defiance amid the rudiments
In which I found such beauty in nothingness;
I’ve recalled your anticlinal sentiments
Thus, how could one like the breadth less?

And just like that, he came.

Dressed in gold,
I’ve gotten a hold
Of the inevitable truth:
An indelicate one, uncouth.

He was eager
As he wanted to go deeper;
With nothing to restrain,
We submitted to each other’s gain.

And he ******.

With all the glory
Not in any hurry
He was on top like a king
Punishing, demanding.

Finally filled with glee,
He pulled out of me;
He was never meant to stay
So I had to give way.

And he left.
