Sudden intimacies
Old missed opportunities
And a
Woman who should've known
Exactly when I'm not my own.

She strikes like a viper,
Shoots to ****, like a ******.
And she
Quickly has disappeared
Confirming what I had most feared.
The song Clocks by Coldplay was the inspiration for this one. I used the rhythm and meter to create these two verses.

Thank you for the book
with the hard cover
and the pages
with no lines
to guide my cursive tool

Thank you for the insults
concerning everything
between
music artists and cheek bones

Thank you for not
making me pretend
as if I care
exactly what you think
of me or I or the ****** rock band
that happened to save my life

Most of all thank you
for never realizing that
our passions never quite did
go hand in hand
so that it could be easier
for me
to write another
meaningless
poem.

Their passion,
Their soul.
Picked me right up even when I was low.
Their beauty,
Their skill,
Made the void in my heart fill,
With love,
With acceptance,
With happiness,
That I cant even finish this sentence.
They helped me,
Saved me,
The picked up my broken pieces,
And healed me.

Hi guys,
Today is  4 Years of 5 Seconds of Summer.
They are a quartet who I have been supporting for almost 4 and a half years. I watched covers (not regularly around 2011 when I first got google, youtube and any social media) I have been following their journey theres no doubt about that, and its blessed me.
I talk about this band a lot because they are only a couple years older than ne, and they have the ability to change the society we live in, they have given us a platform to express ourselves and be proud. I have grown up listening to older bands and 5SOS  are the first artists(who are my generation sought of) that i have felt a deep connection with, age wise, maturity wise, character wise.
I just want to say thank you 5SOS;
Michael Gordon Clifford,
Ashton Fletcher Irwin
Calum Thomas Hood
And my Hemmo,
Luke Robert Hemmings.
Thank you for saving me **

Ruby Jeffords was cutting a rug
To the music played by hubby Bub.
Four guitars and a moonshine jug,
Bass fiddle made from a wash tub.
And the music they play is not
Headed out for Carnegie Hall.
While it may not be sophisticated
Everyone is having a ball.

There’s two stepping and stomp
And a lot of big cowboy hats.
It’s a country and western romp
And it don’t get better than that.
The fiddle player is sawing
Like he’s cutting a cord of wood.
The onlookers are clapping hands.
They’d all join in if they could.

And the music they play is not
Headed out for Carnegie Hall.
While it may not be sophisticated
Everyone is having a ball.

The dance floor is so crowded
Some people just sit this one out.
But they add to the joy and spirit
Because they clap loud and shout.
They feel the music and tap toes
Falling into the music and beat.
Bub playing, and Ruby dancing
Everybody tapping their feet.

Ruby Jeffords was cutting a rug
To the music played by hubby Bub.
Four guitars and a moonshine jug,
Bass fiddle made from a wash tub.
And the music they play is not
Headed out for Carnegie Hall.
While it may not be sophisticated
Everyone is having a ball.
Accidentally sticking a tuner in a Barry Sax
My friend told me relax
She winked at me and stated she'd gladly take the blame
After i insisted that i would
Because i'm a Man and must admit my discrepancies
But there seems to be a unrelenting efficiency
When good luck comes your way
It took a couple of people to get it out
But atlas, we were successful.
Some stories from marching band are crazy, but that one might top the bill.
Oh, maybe it's a tie with a trombone slide flying towards the stands.
Historical events happen in such an organization like this.
Real life story, happened last night actually! *****

one day he'll find a girl
and he'll see her as his everything
while you spend your time crying
because that girl has your world

a.v.
I fell into a bottle
Four Presidents ago
looking for the hidden song
Just before a show

Once I thought I found it
I was in about half way
When I took the stage I found out
I was far too drunk to play

Every bottle has a song
somewhere deep inside
I haven't found one yet though
but, ****...i know I've tried

Each line upon my weary face
And scar upon my fingers
is the end result of searching for
the song that always lingers

If it isn't in one bottle
in the next it may be there
so for now, i'll just keep searching
for the song that isn't there

there's songs in other places too
too dark for me to go
some find songs inside a needle
those aren't songs I want to know

I come by my songs honestly
my scars show I've looked deep
But, when I'm almost there and see it
That's kinda when I fall asleep

when I'm sober, I can't find them
once I'm drinking, then I hear
The song calling from a bottle
I'm like an alcoholic seer

I know I'll find the right one
And it just may be today
I only hope I find it
Before I'm too **** drunk to play

I only hope I find it
Before I'm too **** drunk to play

i once came across
a young lad
who asked
if there is a band aid
for a broken soul

to his question
i remained silent
it was quite unusual
yet it was brave
and it was what reality is

that was the moment i knew
no such thing exists
for a broken soul
can only be mended by
the love he never knew

Go to the concert of a local band you've never heard of or have a water balloon fight at 2 am or go to a new restaurant you've been wanting to go to, but for god's sake, stop falling into the idea that you have to be traveling all the time or have tons of money to have incredible adventures and make your life mean something.

(Some of the best advice someone has ever told me.)
This isn't mine. It's something someone told me and I wish to share with you.
