unspoken words,
years of silence

it is time
to spread my wings

to embrace;

i am transgender

SHE
She's lonely, but she seems happy
She's tired, but she moves forward
She's down, but she doesn't drown
She's hopeless, but she's not careless

They say she's pretty,
but she feels ugly
They say she's smart,
but she feels dumb
They say she's talented,
but she feels incompetent
They say she's strong,
but she feels weak

She has no one, but she ain't gone
And that she,

**Is me.
For one to be enlightened,
their soul must shed
benightment.
We live in a world of sun and shade. Opposing sides of nature.
To bask in the light, know yourself.

it's midnight and i want to talk to you.
of course we're texting, we always do.
but i wish you were here with me,
where i can't hide behind my phone screen.
so i can't hide my smile from you,
and i can see your smile too.
while i show you one of my favorite bands,
i'll probably try to hold your hand.
unfortunately these are things i cannot do
because i'm far away from you.
here i am again, thinking too much.

Gwen
Waiting for a phone call,

Waiting for a text message,

Waiting for a visit,

Waiting for a time,

When I no longer have to wait.
I am sitting here waiting for you to call me and god, I just want to see you again

As she screamed
Everything she knew fell away
As she screamed
She screamed herself into a new reality
As she screamed and screamed and screamed
Every old outdated insidious pattern let go
She screamed her way to freedom
She screamed until it all cracked
All the thoughts and questions and fears cracked
Her scream penetrated everything
She screamed and screamed and screamed
Until she was empty
Empty of everything she had ever swallowed down
Empty of every unsaid
Empty of the rage and terror and the desire to hurt
Empty
Empty
Empty

Why
Why did I try
Why did I fall
Why did I listen
Why did I friend
Why did I help
Why did I stay
Why did I love
Why
Why did you hurt
I'm moving on... I found someone else... You clearly don't care... why should i still care about you
my beauty
has no ties to
the length
of my hair
or the
size of my waist.

and neither does yours.

olive
i told you i loved you
in a violet sea
under a setting sky

a magnificent orange
kissed your cheeks
before i could do it myself

we were intertwined
and the youthful night
lied before us

covered in our own colors
our love was even more handsome
and stirred between us

we were blind to the others
and halfway drowned in burnt sienna
when the sun had gone

we filled the empty night
painting the earth
with the color of our love
