I never understood the sentence
"I have my heart in my mouth."
Not until I tasted it,
not until I spit it,
not until the words got stuck in my throat
because I felt a weight on my mouth that didn’t let me breathe.

I didn’t understand the sentence
until I felt my chest empty
and its beating on my neck.
Until I cried because I couldn’t even talk.

I didn't understand what
"Having your heart in your mouth"
meant
until I found it there
and I had no one to turn to.
Hopefully 'I have my heart in my mouth' is an expression that IS actually used in english, because the original poem was about a spanish idiom ('tengo el corazón en la garganta') that IS quite common.

The number grows but
I still can't tell if I am whole.
Every day is nearly the same
until it's simply not.

Even family changes or moves on.
No one is safe in the long run,
Not the encountered stranger,
the acquaintance or friends...

Nobody knows when they'll meet their end,
and it scares me.
I don't like the YOLO philosophy,
but here I am again, pondering.

I'm trying to make sense of everything
I'm wondering what exactly I need...
What can help me be happy?
I wouldn't say I'm ashamed but my past is embarrassing?

I guess I'll continue and just keep going
I'll keep trying my best,
For as long as I can,
I'll try to get through this
You're so embarrassing, go cry when no one's watching

Your adorable footprints,
Etched on the earth's soft clay,
Whisper of joy in a delicate ballet.
Each step a hymn, each breath a prayer,
A song of hope woven through the air.

With every stride, the heavens rejoice,
The wind carries your sacred voice.
In the dance of light, where shadows depart,
You leave a trace upon every heart.

O’ blessed soul, whose path we trace,
In your footsteps, we find our grace.
For in your journey, we too shall know,
The joy of walking where love does flow.

If You will, then I surrender all,
As rivers bow to the ocean's call.

One glance from You, my soul set free,
Like dawn that rises upon the sea.

Your command, the song my heart will sing,
A melody that soothes on silent wing.

If You wish, I would be made whole,
Bathed in the light that heals the soul.

Let me behold—oh, grant me sight,
A moment’s vision, a blaze of light.

For in that gaze, the veils will fall,
And love will answer every call.

Give me your tender lips, and I shall give you breath anew,
A kiss, like dawn’s first light, where skies are always blue.
In silence deep, where shadows cease to roam,
Within your kiss, my spirit finds its home.

Give me your fleeting gaze, and I will weave for you soft dreams,
Of gardens lush, and rivers filled with streams.
In every glance, the world shall gently spin,
And in your eyes, eternity shall begin.

Give me your fragile heart, and I will feed it love so rare,
A love that wanders free, untouched by care.
Like petals falling from a quiet tree,
It shall bloom forever, wild and free.

So give me these, and in return, I’ll offer thee,
A kiss, a dream, a love that will always be.
In your heart, I’ll place my soul’s desire,
For in your love, I find eternal fire.

In my heart, the tears do call,
Each drop that falls, the heavens' thrall.
A whisper soft, a silent cry,
As if the soul would dare to fly.

In my gaze, the storm is stirred,
A spark of truth, a flash, a word.
It bends the soul, ignites the night,
And leads it through the realm of light.

In shadows deep, their secrets weave,
The night, a veil that dawns deceive.
Yet truth remains, though veiled, unseen,
In every hue, in what has been.

It’s not in notes that rise and fall,
But in the silence, beyond them all.
Where stillness breathes, the soul takes seat,
In beats unspoken, soft, complete.

In twilight’s glow, desires fade,
A fleeting flame, now softly laid.
Yet in its ashes, pure and true,
The soul's own fire is born anew

In every sacred corner of thy hall,
The Cup-bearer waits, to heed thy call.
For in the chalice of eternal grace,
The thirst of souls finds its resting place.

A single drop within these yearning eyes,
Carries the truth that never fades or dies.
Within thy glance, both gentle and wise,
I see the realms where spirit and form rise.

The sacred cup, which bids the soul to soar,
Holds wisdom deep, from life's eternal core.
Thy glance, like dawn, dispels the night’s dark veil,
And calls the heart to its destined trail.

O’ Cup-bearer, whose touch awakens the mind,
In every sip, the universe we find.
The world, in drunken dreams, takes fleeting flight,
Yet all it seeks is the hidden light.

For in thy gaze, the soul's true purpose gleams,
Beyond the shadowed world of fleeting dreams.
O’ seeker, drink, and let thy heart expand,
For in this cup lies the eternal land.

What was the rose before it crowned its form?
It was the shadow of a dream unborn,
A promise carried on the wings of time,
A silent prayer, untold, sublime,
A secret held in depths where silence roams,
A whisper carried to the soul’s far home.

Then came the touch of Light, the gift of hue,
The perfume of longing, the blush of truth—
And the rose, once a mere thought of grace,
Became the soul’s own face.

My eyes seek Thee in restless despair,
Through tempests wild, through hollow air.
O’ guiding flame in twilight deep,
Awake my soul, from sorrow’s sleep.

Show me Thy glimpse, if only a stare,
A spark of hope, a breath of prayer.
O’ Keeper of life, my heart’s lone plea,
Shine forth Thy grace, come set me free.

Thou art the faith I cherish and adore,
The silent hush, the thunder’s roar.
Dwell in my heart, take root in my soul,
Mend these fragments, make me whole.

Through shadowed vales and boundless night,
Thy whisper calls, a song of light.
No tear may fall, nor spirit break,
Where love endures and dawn doth wake.

Thy presence is all my soul doth crave,
To walk with Thee, steadfast and brave.
Come to my solitude—my heart to save,
Lift me from darkness, my soul to pave
