Look at your cuts,
or your burns,
or those bruises,
you gave yourself,
Each one,
is a battle;
with yourself,
That you Lost.
Stay Strong everyone.

Sweetheart
Who are you
when no one is looking?

Who are you
behind closed doors?

is it different
than when you're in public?

If it is, ask yourself why.

Are you putting up a front
Just to be accepted
Just to fit in

If so,
you will lose who you truly are.
and who you are
is the most important thing in this world

don't ever lose it
because you are extraordinary.

Every minute I check
Always pretending
Like I felt a vibration
As I pull my phone from my pocket
And look with hesitation
I stare in the screen
Little green light in the top right
That's what I've been waiting for
That's the clue
I finally got a message
But its not even you

Quiet
I saw my butterflies leaving,
I was a wilting flower they no longer could pollinate,
and they couldn't stop me from telling my insides that I was,
every word that described awful, horrendous, and me because we
were synonyms, and I needed to feel something
except numb.

Cold

The IMS ambulance stands by the shore
as the table top wind sends its Antarctic breath to us
across the Indian Ocean while
we are wrapped up like parcels protected from the
temperature of the night,
an army lost in the dark
awaiting the gathering day
holding hope in our aging hearts
that the sun will come again .

We are lucky enough to have hope
unlike those somewhere out there
forever entombed and cold

70 million ways to
remind you why you
make my skin flutter
and heart crawl

but I couldn't even begin
to put into words,
as your eyes matched mine,
In level and intensity

and
With fear of the unknown
and equally the known,
with fervor,
with yearning
with despair

eyes ignited
eyes in stasis
bruised but widened

I'm
terribly sober
but intoxicated by you
and I can talk
and talk
when I'm intoxicated

70 millions things
I'm compelled to say
but I don't know
where to begin

I just can't
though believe me
when I tell you
that I want to

Allen Ginsberg
Now mind is clear
as a cloudless sky.
Time then to make a
home in wilderness.

What have I done but
wander with my eyes
in the trees? So I
will build:  wife,
family, and seek
for neighbors.

                     Or I
perish of lonesomeness
or want of food or
lightning or the bear
(must tame the hart
and wear the bear).

And maybe make an image
of my wandering, a little
image—shrine by the
roadside to signify
to traveler that I live
here in the wilderness
awake and at home.
