pluvious
aetherx Aug 2014
the trace of you is still sensed
faint but there;
when I arise in a daze,
dizzy, bedazzled, hazy,
from pleasant dreams

the thoughts of you evade my mind
in the glory of dusk and dawn
to evoke, certain emotions
that I never thought could exist
talk, pause, think
speak, laugh, blink

cradling myself by building a nest
of memories I pick from my mind
pluvious weather,
the pitter patter,
the knits on the sweater,
reminds me of you
but what trail of constellation
does not remind me of a star,
that is you?

parched browning book on the highest shelf of a vintage book store
someone would pick it up eventually, drawn to its unique charm.
an uncharted best-seller with layers of dust as its cover art.

ah, the smell of books

isn't it strange that the smell makes you nostalgic, giving you a flashback of a past you've never experienced?

that record playing on the vinyl that everyone nods their heads to,
with wine in their hands
till the same question wanders the whole room;
"what's the title of this jazzy anthem?"

walking in the midst of echoing chirps in the timber land
dead leaves crunch beneath my feet
I paused, considering whether I should perch myself on the Earth in the middle of nowhere
I did so, as the leaves nestled me
I looked around at the ochre and the mahogany of the dead leaves,
laying on the face of the ground, defeated, after a hard life
I let out a sigh and sympathised

Nature was comforting me and I sat there, embracing comfort, feeling it after a long time

Nature was my *soul mate

diamond in the rough
aetherx May 2014
you're a melancholic blue rock
who's oblivious to what you're parallel of

just a slight erosion I noticed,
as I picked up
the little crumbles
the gem stones
the tears

crystallizing under crushing pressure;
I know it's aching,
some time to tether
you're (spontaneously) combusting
but you're still as dainty as a feather

don't have to look at your reflection,
just your shadows
then you'll see you're illuminating
and now you know
you're more than enough
you were just
a diamond in the rough.

Red network of your veins
aetherx May 2014
I'd be the blood pumping through the red network of your veins.

I'm de-oxygenated
I'm not the 02 (for you) that you think I am;
that is why I vanished from your arteries

I tried not going for your heart
but this is the flux;
the plethora
with emanating tidal waves that I could not counter-attack

blood & fire
aetherx May 2014
You see it from afar. Noticing the subtle glow.

"I'm sorry it hasn't been raining for you lately. Will the crimson of my wrists be worthy enough for you?"

"I'm sorry the rays of sunshine haven't been gleaming and lighting you up. Will the blaze from skin all the way to my bones, when I set myself on fire, be worthy enough for you?"
[Note: you're a growing plant]

Son, You Are A Star
aetherx May 2014
we have our own worlds;
we are completely unanimous

we'll never leave,
now that you've drawn us by your magnetism
you are essential

coexistingly contradistinct;
has no one enlightened you?
you, I, all of us
are celestial bodies
in the vast space
and we orbit around you

pirouette and waltz on our own particular rhythms
we are on different belts, but even then,
don't you see?
parallel lines don't meet

don't ever forget,
for every time you crumble,
a new star is born;
your rebirth
embrace this because

Sun, you are a star

— The End —
