I am one,
In a trillion,
Significant enough,
With standoffish movement of air,
Of any velocity.
I will furnish you with an upchucking sensation,
In your solar plexus,
And move your heavy head,
Round and round,
Round and round.
Outdoing the darkness,
Above and beneath,
I will emerge cold-eyed;
I will emerge cold-eyed,
And hit the strong,
And bold,
And black boulders.
And sprinkle moisture droplets on your pale face.
I am one,
In a trillion,
Vying with my facsimiles,
And similar ones,
For reaching the untraced,
Unknown,
And unfrequented coves,
With puissance,
And robbing the possessions,
I will recede.
I will recede,
And submerse everything with me,
And what awaits me,
On my way.
Come,
And dunk yourselves,
Thinking I will wash all your transgresses,
Come,
You puny creatures,
I will,
But wash only your grimy,
And filthy bodies.
Advance farther,
And you will be another meal,
To me.
I am one,
In a trillion,
Significant enough,
Roaring monotonously.
I am a wave,
In a humongous ocean,
Busier than a bee,
Rising and falling,
Forever,
Growing old,
And working harder,
Than ever.

I caught the glad eye you gave me by chance,
as I realize I mark the moment with a smile,
you, mirth quotient high, caught my eyes as well,
this, it strikes me is more than mere chance!

It's a warm sunny day I didn't have any plan,
to meet someone like this and fall for her at once.
Life keeps so much unexplained, but we aren't aware
the roots of karma is so long, too tangled to discern.

Swift wind  goes past shaking trees, singing tunes,
ripe fruits get caressed by the wind, some fall too,
fruits of your actions invite you from afar with it's scent,
do your deed and walk on,  fruits will chase you from behind.

I sit and wonder at times, in life what lasts, at the end?
even the fleeting moment effulgent, has  deep  impact,
in a moment of candor you lovingly pat my cheeks,
we forget all else, who we were,  and melt like wax.

Stardust in my bones has music from far away light years,
in your core you still keep a ray of light from long past,
it's effect is a wave in my veins, I feel each  moment,
what lasts is the wave that binds us as one and transcends.

Another shore,  another age
I walked those sands, searching...
Some shells,  some foliage,
I ran at the waves rushing.

Beyond the third white wave,
Curled against the fourth...
The brittle crab shell swayed,
Bobbled,  speeding forth...

My heel firm and grounded
The waves raised with a crisp honk..
The catamaran,  I spotted,
On the wall, seated a white conch...

Staring at the conch, I dreamed,
My fingers traced the tiny lines...
The lines circled edging for release,
I placed it near my ear,  it whined...

The song of another shore,  another age
I hear you now,  calling me
I hear clearly,  my voice interlaced
I stand here,  it's you I feel...

Looked up at the sky,
Looked at the sand,
Looked side ways,
Looked beyond...

Without a clue,  where to move,
I followed your voice from inside,
Another year,  another month,  or forever,
But,  one day we will meet,  soon enough

This day we will recite those lines,
For another shore,  another age,
Your words will still beckon,
I will follow your words,  till there is no return.

I once watched us burst into flames
Like I wasn't even involved
The part I played in this nightmare
We created ourselves a long time ago
Was this stupid little ghost
A shadow of human nature
Could you stop violating my soul?
Pretend like it isn't that much fun
Breaking my tortured self
Into millions of pieces
All this pain inside of you
It feels like drowning in icy waves of agony
Captain, oh captain - can't you see?
You're guiding this once solid ship
Towards the edge of forgiveness
How comes, the cooling water can't ease fire's heat?

I hear the wave
to discover one
beneath my skin

Spent the evening
in the restaurant, surreptitiously looking
at distant women between the heads of men
  Games ensued
when I caught some
looking at me
     The eyes are important
     in the connections of us
     I flicked mine: this
     and that way:
tipsy slur in the way I threw the eyes
and the women I was playing with,
like I, playing and talking and playing
the people we were talking to had no clue;
the waitrons waited, the chefs never waiting;
no one had a clue.

Suddenly came a wave,
once silent in the sea of feeling,
and took energy
from every current before its time
then in one great sweep
swooped me and the sand of my spirit,
shaken like a potent drink,
to quake and proclaim to myself:
There are so many women in the world
much more than men
for so much beauty
how can one ever be committed to only one?

     Always too* patient
I am then they are gone
to live again in my thoughts
resurrected as regret;
I pay for these evenings:
with unquenchable eyes,
with the big-chested wave collapsing into foam,
with the promise of love -
with myself.
This is what life is
to those who wait too* long:
all one ever kissed were eyes
while the ocean erupts
within the chalice of vulnerability
one's lips tremble from a safe distance;
but love never was the dying wave at one's feet.

Confronted by the agonizing notion
I am floundering in my own deep dark ocean
Being driven to the sandy bottom by waves of turbulent emotion

Someone please send me a boat
Please make sure it floats
But I already know they won't
Others just love to stand and gloat

Getting tired of treading water
Afraid I'm about to falter
Going down for the hundredth time
The bells for me they chime
Slowly sinking below the slime
Guess I'll never reach the sublime

I'll never reach the otherside
Right in the middle is here hope died
That was all that had been left
But slowly out of my life that too crept

Nothing left to do but ride the wave
Untill my head just caves
For the love I crave
Was a passing good time, like a rave
When it was over it left me blue
Then more problems did ensue
So the dark waves just grew
Lord knows this is nothing new

But this time will be the last
I'm gonna let this lonely sad life pass
Only sound will be my death rattle gasp

I've been on this ride
I know when it stalls

I've been on this ride
I know how it stops, and falls
It falls

I've been on this wave
I know it'll change

I've been through the rain
I know how it stops, and falls
It falls

The gentle giant,
Furiously calming
With peaceful power,
Pushing forward, endlessly on
Frothing and abating
Against the blemished shore,
Wiping away the disaster
And washing it out for more.
