With arms wide open
and with a mind open wide
I would too open
my body to you; yet you
remain unopened,
thus, for you, nothing more but
my veins are left to open.

Flowers in her
Hair,
She dances in the
Rain,
A Princess of
Destruction,
Mud in her
veins.

Her time is running out,
She's running into brick.
If we don't help her soon,
Our young Princess
Might just
Slip.

I would sever Every. Last. Inch.
of the 100,000 miles worth of veins
coursing through my body.
If I dared to ask the same,
you wouldn't even pick up the knife.

He is written on her bones
his love flows through every single of her veins
and every night she's been crying
thinking of the dream she had
of him trying to make sense of everything
and she doesn't know what's been going on now
for it's getting harder and harder
with the silence
with them together
without being together.

She's sure he is not okay
and neither she is
for there is sadness in the air
they are both breathing
from far away.

You drive me to insanity
Not the good kind
The kind that runs through your veins
Until all that's left are the scrappy remains
Of what once were rational thoughts
You've committed a horrid crime of theft
Now there's nothing left
But scrappy remains
And insanity Running through my veins.

I have tasted
the nectar of love
that spills out of wildflower stems
and creeps out of caves into
light

It sleeps in every vein
I can track on my arm

It is sweet
like aging wine

Warm
like summer sunrise

Loose
like my father's chuckle
like the crescent
always dangling
on my mother's lips

But for the life of me
I can never hold it
long enough
to remember what it feels like

It started with my heart
You turned it stone
Then it began to pump lead through my veins
Causing my body to weigh more than I could carry
I couldn't find comfort
It was all so rock solid
Sealed shut
Permanent

Creating music is so beautiful because in most cases it requires human breath
You give it something that is yours
Something that rested near you heart
And sat on your soul
If filled you
And you use it to fill others
To touch their hearts
To speak to their souls
Music is alive because you make it so
There is nothing robotic or ordinary about it
It's a living breathing thing
Music is a part of you
Your heart pumps to a beat
The veins pulse the same way
You literally have rhythm flowing through your veins
Do you realize you are a creation of rhythm and music
And culmination of gorgeous pulses and beats
The blood carries oxygen to your cells
That oxygen brings sound to your instrument
That blood courses with a beat
We are all made of music
All music is made of us
