i killed a gnat on my shirt today
and now he sits there dead
next to a hole
which is starting to look
more and more
like his twin brother.
both black spots reminding me
of the ***** dishes and laundry
and the difference between dogs
in the city and country.

Rarer than diamonds, knowledge or hallowed life itself, valued beyond reckoning, two souls lay in the warmth. Their sire's face was awestruck, openly joyous at the miraculous news he had just received. The sheer happiness and tears that happiness had brought forth was almost as unprecedented as the event that caused it. His usually stone like mask almost completely melted as he embraced his wife and for the first time in 200 years, truly laughed. In the comforting softness of their mother’s womb, two consciousnesses  peacefully rested, unaware of the joy that their existence had wrought. In this warmth they stirred, feeble minds looking about for something to latch onto; and something they found. Metaphysical tendrils tenuously probed the lowest reaches of the upper dimensions. The twin psyches emitted an aura of precinct, but naive curiosity, 'looking' for some form of contact. Feeling the projection and reception of joy from the warmth surrounding them, they absorbed, discovered an experienced that joy, if only for a moment. As the wandering tendrils of not-thought climbed higher and brighter they came to an open Plane; the middle. Unable to go upward or back, they drifted forward, each in an opposing direction. They 'saw' each other. Timidly and slowly, each danced around the other tendril of thought, assessing and recognising its companion.
Hesitant, wondrous and cheerful, the strings of unstructured consciousness circle closer and closer, until one audaciously brushes against the other. At contact, they each shyly shuffle closer feeling and tasting the other. The tendrils give a faint shiver, grow taut and then still, before glowing. Revelling in their newfound closeness, the twin minds rapidly pulse, imitating a feeling felt but minutes beforehand; crisp, pure and untainted joy. The sensation flares majestically, before dimming to a low hum of contentment. In the material realm, their mother looks at her husband, her face lighting up at what she feels inside her; her children. Diamond tears slowly wash emerald eyes as she is embraced tightly, from both without and within.
More of a story than a poem.

We're supposed to be two peas in a pod,
inseparable since birth,
the dynamic duo.
I'm supposed to know her
like the back of my hand,
laugh with her
like we're best friends,
love her till the very end.
She's supposed to smile
when she sees me
cry when I'm leaving
We're supposed to be closer
than we were in the womb
laughing and playing,
just us two.
O' what a shame it is then
that she's only nice to me
with alcohol
in her veins.

She entered her son's bedroom and found him playing hide and seek.
"Shhhh mommy. Don't make a noise, he'll figure out where I am hiding."
His mother smiled and ruffled his hair, "Okay sweetie, just come downstairs for dinner when you're done playing."

"Honey, what's our son up to?", her husband asked her while reading the newspaper.
"The same like always, playing with his imaginary friends.", she laughed.

Inside the cupboard, their hiding place, they whispered slowly.
"Don't tell mommy that we play together, she'll think you're crazy."
"But you're my brother, I am sure they'll be very happy."
"No. You don't get it, for them I'll always be the dead baby."

Twins of opposites, cradled upon
Darkness
&
Light,
Each brought up in the beauty
That beholds each,
Darkness looked upon all of it
Surrounded, it had beauties not
Seen, elegance beheld
The sky at night, the opposite twin
Sparkled,
Flickering,
Glints,
Gentle pin drops in the heavens,
Bringing a mergence of both
"A beauty to behold"
Down to earth all sleep
Embraced in the  silence
Entwined in night,
The gift given away from  light
And so
Illumination
Radiant
Light
Did end the time of  darkness
And so one twin left for the others
Time so shine on and all was seen
In all it glory, but even in light there is
Darkness
But not of the twin, but of mankind's heart
It was a contrast of the twins,
Shifting,
Changing,
Mixtures
Of both at once, But light was good
For beauty shined through, every inch
It gave light, nurturing growth
That all reached for above
As if to touch the giver of life,
Darkness could have fun with light
Taking the sky up before the light
Eclipsing
Overshadow
Shrouding
Taking the limelight away from its twin,
But the mixture of both, excites
Those below, the spectacle of each
If only for a short time in the skies above,
So the twins are of Darkness and Light
Play with each ones given talent,
They were mischievous but each held
Their own beauty and dangers,
But they are twins of opposites,
From the beginning till the end of time.
Your legs are open vividly.
Your thighs still lie spread needing it.
You’re waiting for *******
With desperate anticipation
To anxiously end temptation
In warm blood, cold sweat, more sleek ***;
And bruises, scratches, rashes, lust.

My legs are standing parallel.
My feet flat grounded wanting it.
I’m waiting for that enchantment
With nothing but hopeful patience
To finally end loneliness
In warm sweat, cold tears, more sleek blood;
And bruises, slashes, deep wounds, love.

A pregnant woman cries in bed
Why me is all she says
She was having twins and she lost one
In her head she can't believe he is gone
As time passes her sadness deepens
No more partying on the weekend
From now on there would be no fun
Staying awake until she can see the sun
She's been through this before
But this time the pain is too much to ignore
Her baby doesn't let her sleep
She tries to no avail so she weeps
However, she loves her baby
I would call that being a real lady
She's stressing hoping everything works out
Cause right now she has many doubts
I made this for my sister during her pregnancy. Iris is her name.

I never thought I'd ever know the feeling of her absence, Her laughter faded into memory.

Her scent still lingers in my closet. Clothes that silhouette an image that was left untainted.

Words fail to express the truth in what we had, yet I push it away.

I had to when it hurt so much.

Our past set on fire when I chose to leave it behind, hurting us both.

But I'll never know who more.....

The problem was she only saw part of me. When I gave her so much of my soul.

In the end she broke my heart worse then he ever could. Fogged eyes seeing expectations I couldn't for fill.

Secrets whispered of lies so easily believed. Tainted red and broken already.

I walked away because I couldn't bear her heart break again.

I never thought she would never not know me. But in the end she proved she never knew me at all.
