The ocean is full of wonderful treasures, or so I’ve been told
But I’d like to know if that’s even true at all
Because if we haven’t explored the entire ocean, how do we know?
I often pretend that I am like the ocean
I tell myself that I’ve got something very special about me
And maybe I jut haven’t found it yet
It’s easier to make believe about the sea than to make believe about me
But I hope that the ocean is truly full of uniqueness
Because that means that I might be too

Find yourself, they said
you will walk down unknown paths
with dragons and lava puddles
with a shield and an unbeatable armor

Find yourself, they said
you will face the biggest beasts
and find shelter in their ribcages
warming yourself with their hearts

Find yourself, they said
you will sleep in the meadow
with only the moon as your company
and the wolf howls as you sleep melodies

Find yourself, they said
you will dance naked
around a fire of cherry wood near the forest
of undiscovered creatures

Find yourself, they said
and you will bathe in infinite oceans
of comfort and color your skin
with the sunsets

Find yourself, they said
and you will be swept off your feet
by this deathly wave of what they call love

Find yourself, they said
strip every layer the society accumulated
on your center
and expose the skeleton that you harness
so shyly

Find yourself, they said
and you will find yourself
afloat on a cloud of comfort
shedding all sense of care

Find yourself, they said
and you will feast with Kings of confidence
and Queens of beauty
igniting forest fires of jealousy
amongst those who just don't know thee

Find yourself, they said
and all those birds will flock to your feather
even change their own patter to fit yours

Find yourself, they said
and you will treasures of self worth
that no
mirror
can
reflect

It was a pain worth feeling
With every heartbreak, every tear
It was a love worth fighting
With every risk and every fear.

It was a treasure worth seeking
Through desert lands and stormy seas
It was a dream worth sleeping
Through  nightmares or a fleeting bliss.

It was a choice worth choosing
Despite the cons that come along
It was a tune worth singing
Despite the meaning of the song.

And with every striving breath
We hold on to what is dear
Even in life or in death
In our hearts never disappear.

The white man was silly
He tried to buy the hill;
He thought it had gold
Like the superstition of old.
He said a Navajo chief
Had sold him a map.
So, then we told him
The map was crap.

Well, he laughed and then
He gave his knee a slap
And continued believing
He had a treasure map.
He bought some equipment,
About the price of his car,
But he hasn’t found anything
Like gold or silver so far.

Oh, hell yeah, we let him,
Once he ignored our advice.
After all we live here and
We were trying to be nice.
So, the guy from the city
Went to where it said dig
And set himself up a tent
And some kind of a rig.

He worked all day each day
And every day of the week
Knowing he was on the path
Of finding what he should seek;
That half-baked idea of his
Of getting filthy rich really quick.
And us telling him he was taken?
He wouldn’t let that idea stick.

So, we didn’t laugh later
When he came back into town
And sold his gear at half price.
We didn’t call him a big clown.
We treated him as if he were nuts
Or high on some bad marijuana.
And that’s why we call that hill
By the rude name of Belegana.

Love that never leaves
Love that is deep within
Love that never can be lost
Love that I call Almighty
Love that I worship as my maker
Love that abides in all
Love, it is for you that I exist

It has been described that New friends are like Silver and Old friends like Gold.
Maybe it is because new friends like a new Silver Coin add sparkle to our lives.
Over time we realize their true value and we realize what a Treasure they really are and we now know that they are worth more than Gold!
At times new friends come into our lives but stay for a short while when we need them the most, but seem too quickly to depart but make a lasting impression on our hearts. They seem like Angels heaven sent to guide us through difficult moments and to walk beside us or help carry us through life's trials.
I want to thank you all my Hello Poetry friends for being Silver and Gold, you are all precious treasures and have been like Angels when I have had difficult times.

That bottle was the treasure, those pills were gold and I was the dark blue lake that was going to consume them.
One by one, week by week.
The lake added to its gold.
It multiplied until there was enough to fill the treasure that was once empty.
The lake destroyed passing ships to acquire this gold.
Ships that loved and adored this lake.
It did this because that was the only act it knew how to do.
It knew no other way.
This lake felt guilty for the actions it had committed.
It took the treasure it worked so hard to get and consumed it into the lowest darkest depths it could find.
The lake bashed and bashed at It's  restraints until they all broke down.
That lake flowed out until it soon dried out and the only thing left was the empty treasure.
Don't really like this poem but it's all I've got for now </3
Our greatest human treasure
the risk that delivers us
without giving permission
for further hurt

The eastern sky glows
just long enough
for its colors
to heal our hearts

As a truly holy man travels
among us these days
spanning differences
living his convictions
we are nourished beyond
boundaries and beliefs
Written during the first visit to the USA of Pope Francis I. Great gratitude for his wisdom, sincerity, simplicity and courageous love.

Many invest their money in policies,
That will pay when one day they die
Some think by working hard each day
It will bring peace into their lives

Others place their trust in riches,
Worldly things which will only fade
But I have the greatest insurance policy,
For the LORD CHRIST, is with me today

And even though my body dies daily,
There is one thing which I can be sure
That when I leave this shell of flesh,
I will be with my LORD forever more

For He has given me His promise,
So that within I may rest assured
That imagination cannot comprehend,
What for me He does have in store

And though this world is troubling,
With many obstacles in our way
I know within the embrace of JESUS,
That my heart and soul will stay

For my faith will never allow me,
To depart the policy which pays true
And you can bank all on His promise,
That with Our LORD you will never lose.

I have often been told that love is great
That every person will find their soul mate

They say good things come to those who wait,
But for how long should I wait before it's too late?

Is it a risk to create my own destiny?
To take my chances to serendipity?

So many thoughts but not one clear answer,
All just for my longing of my own treasure.
