Curing May 2015
Ocean waves chase shorelines
As the sun falls from the sky
Each grain of sand a memory
Of happy days gone by

I taste your tear drops in the ocean
And now I realize why
Each salty stream of sorrow's
Gonna haunt me till I die

I'll dance with you forever
You're the moon and I'm the tide
I'll willingly dive into love
And drown myself inside
I met a man one day
So very long ago
I could see his spirit
And he could see
Right through my soul
I didn't know
That he saw me, that day
And not the way I looked at all...

So I took upon myself to make a friend
And in the end,
I lost them all.
Life is funny, ain't it honey
And you've just got to love it all.

He said
'Let's learn to send our thoughts through time'
I asked him how,
And am still waiting for reply
Though I think it's something tried and true through time.

My friend he didn't know what love was
I can't say I did,
But I've never claimed to know a thing
Just let it ring
Come back to bed
Help sort the tangles from my head
She said....

'Take upon yourself to make some friends'
So I tried but I failed this time
And made some enemies instead

What did I ever do to you?
All I wanted was a moment
Just a second of pure gratitude
For all the things I could do
If you wanted me to...

Tear filled eyes
Stared back at me
I couldn’t have used
Less empathy
My now foe/friend
At his wits end
Smiles crookedly and says...

"Let's learn to send our thoughts through time"
I asked him how
He laughed as a reply
Now I believe it's something found
In Rhythm and Rhyme
We pass each other in the night, trading and faring, but never dropping anchor.

dear young soul,
blooming flower,
lighthearted joke,
happy child

keep your chin up,
keep your heartbeat steady even when the ones you adore kiss you
keep your head on even when you're raging
keep the slack on your leash long
keep the smile on your face wide
and don't stop to think you're something small
even when you follow, your movement makes the tide echo

The more
I drank t-
he closer**
I felt to
Your ever
Lasting tide
It never died
But it did shrink
With every drop that
Hit my lips, my animosity

For you faltered next to the bottle.

Smaller and smaller until i couldn't

Feel you at all, the glass walls contai-

ning this liquid also trapping your w-

aves inside them. Before I tried to hi-

de them, from other shores, but now

I could not find them, not at my door

After a storm, not on my floor ready

To make me slip, i miss your tide

When i take a sip...................

Als een zoeklicht, opgericht
Naar een hemel vol sterren
Kruist ze lichtstralen, verhalen
En schiet verder in de nacht
Voor één moment, onbekend
Voor de lege eenzaamheid
Dan weer eindeloos, zwart

Een knipperlichtrelatie
Met de glinsterende maan
Stralend middelpunt
Van de nacht die zij zelf
Slechts bliksemsnel verlichten mag

I used to gather
where the bridge crossed the bay
Pausing in the ebb of
the changing tide .
I tried to capture
the moment of the ebb's decay

She came to me
with soft words of call
Left messages saying
she's not sure about it at all

The sea follows the
ways we know not
our separation was complete
we left our ancient past behind
to tread upon this land
on our own two feet

Shake the dust from your call
dress the shadows
make the sun fall
words of deliverence
wet the tongue's
parchment and thirst

The tide remains constant
demanding , relevant
with unrelenting presence
It is married to the bay
In a never ending struggle
of give and take

I've often heard people speak
about the sting of tear-burnt cheeks.
The taste of their salty exit
on bitten, nervous lips.
Rarely, have I heard them admit
how hard it is to swallow
the same tears before they
even reach the surface.
I've consumed so much of my
own, I have become the
salty roaring tide.

i am the moon
the rise and fall of your chest is the tide
your breath in my ear is the ocean
the waves spill across my lobe

i see the salt, taste it on your skin
you finger the stars strung through my hair
(this all fades ((usually)) in the morning)

we will blow on the sun like a dandelion
so it never rises
we will never be blinded again
