Today marks the end of an amazing chapter
For I am going to step away from writing
Not forever but for a little bit of time

I have written poems about love and lost
I have written some poems while in tears and in shear glee
Sometimes I wrote in pure anger and frustration
But I would be a fool to say it wasn't worth every word I typed
I have found people that supported me
I found a passion that filled my soul with hope instead of hopelessness

Before I started this journey I didn't know a thing about poetry
Yeah this poem really doesn't show what I have learned
I have learned how to write different forms of poetry such as free verse, limericks and haikus

Now its time to step away and breathe
For me I have wrote more than I can believe
Time to step back and reread what my poetry has made me
My poetry has led me on great adventures
It has taught me a lot about what truly makes me tick
For if it wasn't for my poetry I don't know where I would be mentally

To the one I loved,
To the one who broke me,

Thank you.

i check my phone
the single thing that rises me
and i look at one of my only apps
then open it
and then open my missed text
and read it
then scream
then dance
then sing
thank god for that

Likes, of hearts red, a positive memo in mailbox,
a sun bright, all become tickles inside my heart.
Little energetic sparks of encouragement
to light up words percolating in mind.

The likes become fuel for the wandering poetess I am.
A poet, who walks in breath infused with an idea.
A scribe, who dances to the music of a readers smile.
A writer, who holds gratitude for all those who write,
as we are family.

Thats me! One who savors all the red hearts I can gather, to plant in my poetic flower bed in mind. The field I caretake for a bouquet of poems to be picked and shared.

Surfing Throughout the corners of a mind i think is corrupted,  
You won't find your tears here in this hell while life is instructed,
Bean spilling about your uncle , your mother , your father , your baby cousin,
I got a secret for you..
Teenage lovers , watch them fade and see what they had once before,
Under covers , thinking back when *** was good , not anymore,
Losing sparks and see them  fly into someone elses vicinity,
i got a secret for you..
When people label you as something that you never thought you would be,
Looking for a piece of positivity and empathy,
I could make you see how wonderous life could truly speak,
i got a secret for you..
Stars shine , but not only for them for he leaves no one out at all,
Can't lose your composure cause you wouldn't be able to bare it all,
look for purpose in life and prepare for a new fall,
i got a secret for you..

Sing a different song to a new beginning,
i was on my own but wasn't done with sinning,
In my heart i know i am truly winning,
all these bad thoughts haunt like whoelse is thinking,

Staying away from all the bull from what you think is fun and better,
Heaven makes a stone cold blind man see weather,
i'm not in your line of ignorance , i know i could do better but,
i got a secret for you..
Breathing in the devils musk and make fuss about this life,
Making decisions that you know is wrong but you do it right,
Scuffing down your fathers alcohol bottles with some ice,
i got a secret for you..
Bound to drinking and shooting up but you know thats not the way,
Because of a family that doesn't understand you and your phase,
planning to leave and never come back was in the mind anyway,
i got a secret for you..
Know you worth cause isn't hard in this wicked world to start,
Guard your brain , guard you heart , guard your soul don't drift apart,
but there was something you always had to embark,
That God Loves you , take your life back,
Right Nows the time to start,
