"behind my smile
is a hurting heart
behind my laugh
im falling apart
look closer and you will see
the girl i am... isn't me"

The dark is present
All around me
I'm not afraid of the dark
Not the kind in your bedroom at night
Not the kind that lurks in shadows

But I am afraid
Of the dark that consumes one's heart
Of the dark that prowls in my very mind

January slipped it's finger
Down my spine
As I slip
Further down
Further down underwater

As I float downwards
I think of this darkness
The one present
Right now
My eyelids slowly close
And I am left with the dark
And the sounds of underwater
Like this if you're afraid of the dark.

A touch here, a touch there
The sudden fear to then appear;
memories, I wish would disappear

Silent walls, silent screams
Slowly turned to violent dreams

I can feel them
rising up my chest

I can hear the words i never said...

the snow is cold but i am colder
the sound is buzzing but my mind is louder
the voices
the buzzing
the terrible, terrible sound of her voice.
echoing through my head
telling me to listen
but I will not.

I am the victim.
I am the detective.
I am the suspect.
I am the witness,
of my own crime,
which I have done,
but I will not be there,
to serve my sentence.

the leather jacket
sitting
watching
looking
searching
for answers.

the white jeans
hanging
knowing
wondering
stained
with tears

the black keyboard
listening
tapping
pattering
*patter
patter

When I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely
I just stick up my chin and grin and say, oh

The sun will come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on
'til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love 'ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away!

When I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely
I just stick up my chin and grin and say oh

The sun will come out tomorrow
So you got to hang on 'til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow
You're always a day away

Tomorrow, tomorrow I love ya tomorrow
You're always a day away..
There's always tomorrow, little Annie.

you whisk me away for a weekend
take me somewhere where the sun is shining
and the kids are laughing
we forget about whats happening
but then you raid me towards the end
and find something you dont like
then there goes my freedom
i try and at like nothing is happening
but
in reality
when we leave the bright sunshine
i spiral back into darkness
and the kids are no longer laughing.
