I am trying...
I am striving...
... to keep myself alive every single day

The way we deal with death is funny.
The child expected to cry,
must stay strong for his peers.
The adults have the luxury of tears.

So why the difference in action?
When the cause stays the same?
The adult may have lost a member of kin.
The child, however, is broken within.

Everything must end.
The way we cope with life as kids.
Replaced to see it like adults.
The loss of a friend, sister or mother.
The death of a father or a brother.

Everyone has a mechanism to cope.
Giving them time and space to heal.
You have your religion and empty prayers.
I have my broken universe and empty stares.

Every eye sheds light on a situation differently.
First poem to HP. :)

Spark seeker sitting anxiously in the dark
Counting every second to the sunrise
Blood, sweat and tears flowing down a stream of skin grinded by an infinite hour glass
Grasping for air to rise and mine once more for an everlasting bliss
Shattered by critics, cussed by ignorance and spat on by arrogance
A spark seeker rises like a phoenix above heights no eye can ever see
Persistence is key. Persistence shines light into the essence of mortality
While a spark seeker seeks light in the dark
Captivated by the fruit of blissful infinity.
Spark Seeker (n) One who never gives up. A hopeful person

A blown candle
Still ignites
A tangled mind
Strives to fights
The darkness within
And that of sight
Lingers to consume
Using my plight
I breath to sustain
To have conscious mind
Stumbling in the dark
Even myself, I can't find
Bumped and knocked
But no one came
I kept moving
As if a player in a game
Eyes wide, vision blind
Locating the matches
Fiddling around here
Searched all over
While diverting my fear
The little smoke of the candle
Lifted my dying hope
I know now how to handle
I've learnt how to cope
My hands picked up a packet
That of, what I thought
I lit the candle once more
To see what I am not...

Clueless isn’t the word I seek
But unknowing of such and in such moments
Untouchable
That is what I strive to be
This is the motivation...so clear in this moment

On and on the same feelings
Day after Day
They build up inside me
I strive to control it
Before they burst
When they burst Im not myself
I feel the weight of the world
The people, the feelings, and my thoughts
Going through life I strive
I strive for greatness
I strive to be everything you want
I strive to be perfect for you
I strive to be strong to take away your pain too
I strive to make you happy
There is a hunger inside me
That only goes away when you are truly happy
Like I knew you once was
But its his loss
I gained you in my life
I wish you could tell me what you want
So I may make it come true
I strive to make everyone happy
Everyone but one person
That person doesn't matter to me
That persons hurts me sometimes
That person controls what I see
And that person is me

I've played this game for far too long
to consider quitting now
The consumption of anxiety for breakfast,
The lethargic depression on my plate for lunch
The constant debilitating fear of life for dinner
Will not break my core
I would eat scrap metal as a snack, and my body would howl with laughter at me,
How foolish to think that that would do anything to my bones
my body,
my poor, poor body,
absorbs everything I toss into my mouth,
sharp nicotine and old pomegranates
***** raspberries and foaming beer
black mould and cheap sugar
Despite
This:
My heart is still standing strong even though my shoulders don't register
I will fight this life if I have to,
I will live it if I can.
Spinal cords can break;
Blood cannot.

Do not aspire to be a ramp model,
Strive to be the perfect role model.

...
Sometimes you need to be that person even you
doubted you'd ever be to reach those dreams that
were so far from reality and score such goals you
thought you never could... Sometimes you need
to tighten your fist of faith and beat the odds
for if you hit hard, even fate can hit the canvas...
