I passed you on a stairway

Somewhere back in time,

I just had to make you mine!

You tried to take me your way

Up where the skies are blue,

I had other plans for you…

You wanted to go towards the light,

I dragged you down into the night

Through depths of dark despair.

Welcome home to the devil’s lair.

I pushed and you fell

Down the stairway to hell…
These words came from a song the lead character in my book "Wychwood" is listening to. They mirror her life unravelling as she reflects on her abusive husband who has a heart forged in a foundry of darkness  ...

On the other side
The truth lies
On the other side
Truth
Lives in plain sight.

Blinded by the sun
My five Euro shades
Unveil what I shun
I am paying
A king's ransom.

'Til worlds collide
'Til I crossed to the other side
He never lied,
Lived another truth
By my side.

So many people want to be
DIFFERENT
To stand out
Be unique, brilliant, and attractive
like a shining star
So many people want to be the
same
To conform
To fit in and belong like feet in a
snug pair of shoes
But, why?
When one always wants the other is one really better?

Twinkling stars, they shine so brightly, lights so brights but they don't blind me. Among the stars, they stay beating as one. Different colors, blue, orange, and white, twinkling in the night. Pulsing hearts, shining so bright. They're like jewels in the sky, even if you see it or not, their there, by your side.
something I wrote a few years ago if I am not wrong. I love this one too :)

If the yellow fades,
the dark replaces.
a hollow,
a blow,
a gasp,
a clasp,
of madness
strikes the clock.
then the tick
t-o-c-k-s!

The yellow,
my angel.
cosmic wings,
where are you now?

The hollow,
my death.
twisted fate,
won't you leave me be?

If the dark consumes
the yellow vanishes.
a fright,
a flight,
a breath,
a death,
of luminescence.
the absence,
an evanescence.

Oh, how you look at me...

I just can't help when I start smiling.

Strawberry lips, oh my...

Can't help it when I feel this shy.

If madness is loving you...

Well then, baby, guess I'm mad too.

Falling into a candy land...

Clap your hands, because now I'm a fan.

This little man was
too gorgeous to look at
with mesmerizing smile and curious eyes,

Untouched by the venomous horrors of
the crushing suffocating reality of being.

Flowers bloomed after his every step,
he had firing eyes piercing his enchanting face
as if he put a spell on every male and female,
living or dead.

i caught myself dizzy from his evil fragrance,
i started drowning in the sound of his vibrant laugh.

Drunk by that sinful spell of his
i fell into his trap,
just like one more silly fly,
flying and buzzing close to his ears
begging to be noticed by his delicate hands.

But what a fool was i,
for this little man adored playing innocent games
with petal-soft sweet lies.

He freely allowed those firm lips of his
to scatter the words my lonely heart
always wanted to hear

And i,
possessed by the ideals of 'love', the gates of 'heaven',
the sweet lullaby of the homecoming of the long awaited 'happiness',
i fell too deep and i kept on falling
trusting
believing
assuming

I’m exactly where I want to be
On this cold, empty, cliff
With waves crashing
And wind swirling
The sky is clear and blue
But the air is biting
and the light is blinding
My lips are dry

I’m exactly where I need to be
Right by your side
As your toes are hanging
They see the dark water
My hands are sure and true
As they hold you back
I wont let you die
