I started this because
No one else would
And I told anyone who asked
That if they wanted to be in charge they could.

I took charge because
It was the right thing to do
But if you wanted to do it
I would’ve let you.

I'm not in charge of directing
Or picking out the cast
And if you wanted me to have less power
Then you could have just asked.

I'm only gathering names.
And making sure we’ve got a script.
I'm not judging the talent
That's someone else’s pick.

You could have spoken to me
Instead of some random prefect
Words hidden behind your hands
Like I'm some ***** secret.

Would you rather it was a mess
Of crumbled papers on the floor
With sean yelling st us
And Ms carvill wanting more.

Would you rather we did nothing
Had no play at all?
But would you stand that judgement?
Would you take the fall?

What is it you actually want?
I hope I find out later
Cause I'll put it in the play for you
Signed-
   Your loyal dictator.
When life gets tough; write some passive aggressive poetry about your troubles

History snores at the back, too tired to notice the present company, and
Maths figgits nervously, his mind overwhelmed by possibilities and permutations, while
Geography let's her mind wander, dreaming of paths yet travelled and regarding this classroom as just another staging post, but
English mutters disapprovingly at the thought of so much hassle and any proposition that might disrupt his carefully balanced timetable.
French sighs and shrugs, unconcerned, but can't help but be curious about the
German sitting so self-composed and self-contained across the aisle, somehow managing to ignore
Science as he argues with himself and apparently agrees another working hypothesis. And at the door
Divinity wonders and ponders what brought us here today and says a brief prayer for forgiveness.
Memories of a grammar school.

It's the last day of school today.
I saw you walking in the hallway,
And you gave me a quick kiss.
The world really doesn't like us together,
Does it?
But I now know what I want this year,
The only christmas present I'll need.
I think I'll wish for you this time,
And pray that the world will let you keep being mine.
A poem every day.

The hydrangeas are starting to die now
The clouds are filling with rain
The kids have new-school anxiety
And we’re all filling with pain

The novelty is starting to die now
I’m already tired of faces
The leaves are falling from branches
And I’m already out of aces.
blues early in the school year.

Today I did what I always do
Nothing for something
The clock ticks by slowly
When will the bell ring?
Guess ill waste my time
today

I went to a place,
I called it my home.
How was I supposed to know,
It would leave me all alone.

Depressed everyday,
They told me nothing.
The few good souls,
Would make it amazing.

The authority is *******,
It didn’t even look at me.
Wanted to make money,
Didn’t want to help my sanity.

I begged them to change,
They turned a blind eye.
Left a depressed kid,
Sad and very lied.
This poem is second in the series of Purple and narrates an experience from my school
many learn lessons that schools cannot teach
where ego meets danger and unknowns beseech
perhaps there is nothing and everyone’s clean
or maybe there’s something that’s going unseen
from teachers who cheat to admins who steal
no dose of prestige can save lives that are real

the crossing guard owns twenty cats with the mange
school cop clipped his brother while out on the range
a history teacher abusing his kids
librarians selling school books to high bids
the crew in the arts are all in on a coup
while the principal staff launders money for *****

hey, i’m just here to sweep up and i call what i see
other folks won’t speak up but a few will agree
i don’t do that no more, i’m out five years last june
they’ll be following suit lest they change their act soon
still no one here dares to expose what’s involved
in keeping the peace held among these halls
couplet for those just trying to get by

for peace in solidarity

Papers are due
I haven't even started
my college career is thru

Tests and papers strewn
everywhere this week
and my head is a typhoon
Just some quick rhymes and I'm off to Psychology for my research proposal paper revision.
