"you know, a thief who has stolen from a queen is typically locked away, never to see the light of day again."
"yes, but perhaps my heart was given, not taken."

The King is dead,
And a queen holds an odd flower,
Now the game will begin
Within the next hour;
Some spades are played
To dig a grave,
The hearts decide to pretend
To act silly but smart,
All clubs follow behind
While looking quite smug,
And all the diamonds
Sound their sirens.

Petals scatter with sweet honey from the hexagonal sun
And drip their nectar unto the heiress’s staff’s bun
Her lips shine with the yellow blood of her little wasp enemies
Disguised with a soft and young smile that’s hidden breathlessly
The young ruler’s snow hair dissolves into sweet sprinkles of canary
And her golden eyes shall unleash a sting into whoever she shall marry
A poem I started yesterday and finished today. Based on this artwork I saw on DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/thegraystray/art/Inktober-2017-Queen-Bee-711131419. I got her permission to do this poem. Please check out her art, it's freaking awesome!

I AM A QUEEN
Sometimes my crown does slip and I reveal my vulnerable side but that does not change the fact that
I AM A QUEEN
Most of the times I am not someone you would pick if we were in a room full of girls but fact remains
I AM A QUEEN
I'm a shy flirt, a double degree major and active performing alcoholic, has one too many one too times but still
I AM A QUEEN
It's a time where I am simply trying to convince myself that I am worth something. Somehow

Mister psychopath
I can see through your facade,
faking innocence.

You want to hurt me,
tear me apart limb by limb,
to bathe in my blood.

to make me suffer,
it would make you laugh once more.
stay away from me!

Mister treachery,
you're a wolf in sheep's clothing,
you're not who you seem.

manipulating,
only using charm and wit?
that won't work again.

I'll overthrow you,
because you're no longer king!
I, the queen, mean war.

My queens , My queens , the only thing that means so
much to me is how much you wear you skin so
comfortable.
So lovely ,lovely , like black diamonds standing in the
rough , you could have short hair ,I'd still want you.
Don't try to be something your not, we all know how this goes,
You just want to impress your ghetto friends.
Two eyes , three eyes, I could see love that's pouring out of
you, you're divine, babe I need you now.

Melanin Queen,
Queen,
Queen,
Queen , Queen.
Melanin Queen,
Queen,
Queen,
Queen,Queen.

well here's the queen night again
well here she came again
well here again plays this
rain and all forever forever he
plays and ignites me
my soul again and again

well again I say again
well here again well here and again
well again the same road
time and again she leads me
in the great luxurious twilight
where there are no stars one zero

well here again well here again
well here I go to sleep again
sleep again eyes close
or rather to open because how
this world is wonderful and its moon and its
reverse bed and pillows

I chose to be a slave
To serve my own King
Over being a Queen
Of the other Kings.

Someone still loves you
