I can tell he wants me
to show him around,
take him out and show
how him how I get down.
He wants me to smile but
my face is stuck in a frown.

Boy didn’t you notice
when I tried taking you out on the town?
When we rode with my girl C,
you brought your boy V
Then the time I got into a fight that
nobody even got to see
My girl didn’t like you
I wonder, how could that be??

Once upon a time
you were down
to do anything.
Rain or shine.
Doesn’t matter what we do
as long as youre mine.
Lately it feels like youre
wasting my time.
Feels like a one way street.
All of a sudden you
don’t make me feel like a treat

You see I’ve
Taken you out
You know the
life I’m about.
Yet we still
scream and shout
cause now we never
seem to get out
At least not enough
I know at the moment
Life feels a bit rough
But we can’t be consumed
Part of us died
Let it be exhumed
Dust off our shoulders
and hit resume
Let’s start living
& forgiving
Then start stacking up it
to the ceiling
I thought you were my back up
But it’s me that you’re killing

We don’t need to go hard
or spend money at the bar
We don’t even need to go far
Let’s go to guitar center
and pretend to be stars

Im sorry for my ****** mood
But if you don’t try
We’re *******
Annoyed with how loyal I am

Nurture me,
touch me gently
and don't worry
if I'm frightened.
I've just felt this feeling
before and it's never
worked out in my favor.

No role models in sight
Choices I make aren’t remotely right
Keep on trying to correctly express
Keep on delaying things to process

Anxiety hi. ANXIETY HELLO
Anxiety met me but I’m still mellow
Anger here and there, everywhere
The A’s met the B-reak down, not rare

Focus on yourself, work on your future
I don’t understand it.
You’re single, now be independent
I don’t understand it.

My independence, my future
My surroundings, my nurture
Depend on me
But I simply fail to see

Inside arms I find comfort
Close to your rhythmic heart
Your loving embrace an escape
Welcoming pieces when I fall apart

I hear your voice telling my ears
"Keep moving forward. You can do it!"
Cradled in adoration you shower
My fear exposed bit by bit

Whirlwinds of life swirl me around
Have no oar to guide my route
Softly you set sails for my boat
So eyes will see a way out

I used to resent concern
Progressively my opinion changed
Day by day discovered it meant
Intimate bond could never be exchanged

There is no greater love than a mother's
You give more than most
I caused so many headaches, so much greif
In return my talent and beauty you'd boast

You have been there when I needed you
Offering hope; a shoulder to cry on
The lessons you taught me over the years
Will live in my character long after you're gone
I dont remember if I posted tbis yet, bur its for my wonderful mother.

boys get away with a lot, it's not luck,
it's brushed of as sowing oats, running amuck
girls mature faster than boys, that isn't by nature
it's nurture, it's the rules we employ
our expectations raise girls in a much faster way
to become a nurturer themselves instead of play

while boys are given more time in childhood
riding and crashing bikes in the neighborhood,
girls sit at home learning patience and care
as they sit silently playing, brushing dolls' hair

expectations are different for girls and for boys
this is not nature, it's nurture, it's society's ploy

To give birth to a child
is a wonderful thing

The waterfall of emotions
The love it does bring

Your world is charged
forever more

Long sleepless nights
are in store

As fatigue
a messy house
set on in
You'll not really know
where the hell to begin

Baby will eventually settle down
Order, routine
will come round

You'll laugh and cry
They'll melt your heart

You'll love them
like know other
from the very start

As they grow
from toddlers to teens
they may change into someone
you've never seen

Their teen years
may drive you insane
But their hormones go nuts
so they're really not to blame

Fill their world with
Hugs, laughter and fun
Cherish your child
as if they're the only one

Talk at the table
when you all sit for tea
Help them grow
to be the best
they can be
Spent mothers day with my siblings and our kids

Standing at the edge of the lake
morning fog fading into the light wind
the forest alive with every small creature
giving voice to the rise of the sun
with each one putting its own beautiful song
into a symphony of summer...
this moment in my heart
a cool treasure from nature
a journey from sleepy places
to a joyous celebration
of the natural world
I want you in my future, hands made to nurture, food I'll prepare, for you are so rare.
You may say I'm young, I'm very far from dumb, my mind works fast, together we'll last.
To anon, I know it's hopeless.
