I glimp fragments of you
while you sleep
This sad heart
it does weep

Perfect love
now in the past
A beautiful union
never meant to last

Eyes look at me
with an intensity
of things that use to be

Makes my heart yern
for the melodies
your fingers
once played upon my skin
Precious
tender
melodies
drawn from deep within

I see you hiding
just beyond my reach
Behind
Sad
Confused eyes
Your beautiful mouth
Know with out speech

So sad my aching heart
every day we're togeather
Closer comes the day
when we shall part

Soulmate, Lover, Confidant, Friend
By your side I shall be
till the very end
Sadness
Illness seeps in
Taking all in its path
Leaving only a shell of what was

Shattered hearts
Tears wept
Broken dreams
Memories forgotten

But Hey
Life must go on

Right :)
Frustrated

Your walk elegant
as if in a dream
A vision of loveliness
is how you are seen
Long and lean your body
with a big loving heart
Knew you were special
from the very start
Our brothers a lucky man
to have fallen for you
How you love him back
For him
A dream come true
When it comes to love
2 things are a must
Your relationship
has both
they are
friendship and trust
So glad my brother found someone so lovely

Woke up last Sunday
Vision slightly impaired
was my eye playing tricks
thought it was nothing to be feared
But my eye did not correct
Straight lines wonky
Vision blurred
My head feeling slightly giddy
a little nuts
It was absurd
4 days in
off to the optometrist
I went to see
Not Retinal Detachment
But Macular Degeneration
My first thought
"oh ?#[email protected] me"
So off to the hospital
It was so hard not to flee
My eye ball was numbed sanitised
injected into
So hopefully
It will be fine
Because if it doesn't work I'll end up legally blind
Scary
If your eyes ever play up go have them checked.
Had to write this with my left eye closed.

If I could turn back time
I would hit Backspace all day,
Id put on Caps Lock
and SHOUT what I say.

I'd use the whole Alphabet
To tell you hello,
Press seven Numbers
Til your phone is aglow.

I'd Tab through the comments
I didn't want to hear,
And use the Arrow Keys
To drag your body near.

I would Delete the harsh words
I didn't mean to speak,
And Insert the "I love yous"
I before couldn't leak.

I would use Ctrl to
Keep reigns over my heart,
And I would Escape lies
That tore us apart.

I'd Print out your photo
And kiss it goodnight,
Use the Calculator
To check that it was right.

I'd Paint you a picture
of us, you and me,
Then I'd hit Enter
Just so you would see.

Those are the things
I would do in my strife,
If only Backspace
worked in real life.
This is the first poem (that I have a copy of) i wrote that I actually thought was good. I was in seventh grade, twelve years old, and I wrote it for a newspaper competition. I knew it was really great but I didn't think I would beat all other applicants in the state in my age group. So you can imagine my surprise I'm sure when I DID win! That is the first time I was proud of my writing. So this one has a lot of special sentimental value. Thanks for reading.

My family are far from perfect
Some can be quite extreme
My siblings extraordinary artist
A sidecar racer my dad has been
Mum a caring support worker
A trait passed on to my sister and me
My children on their own journeys
One girl
two boys
makes three
My grandaughter
so very gorgeous
she's just learnt to run
Having just had her 1st birthday
life for her has only  just begun
My nieces and nephews
all unique
amazing in their own way
Aunties door always open
for them to come and stay
My Aunties
Uncles
Cousins
wonderful people I adore
most live in New Zealand
Wish
I could see them more
Finally my husband
handsome
loving
always kind
swept me off my feet
one day
wrapped me
in a love divine
Love my family
