Pull yourself up
never surrender
no pain no gain
get some

collapse
give up
stop the pain
leave it

crush it
win at all costs
may the best man win
no quit

loosen your grip
enjoy the journey
lose with grace
stop

destroy the day
seize the day
capture the victory
nothing is too much to give

relax
today
might be the last
day
poem speaks for itself

Normalcy is a strange word.
No definition is certain and
allowed to be called “normal”.
Differs in different lands.
And never asks for
Hate to come in its absence.
And no-one can seem to fulfil it.
Normalcy seems like a dream far away,
in a distant land that is strange.
Sometimes,
I wonder if anyone is normal.
If not,
Normalcy is perfection.
We strive for it.
And we practice diligently.
And fail to achieve it wholly.
Yet we find normalcy
that is perfection partially.

Saving for nothing the lazy will say. I take no money I make no pay. Nerves are shot hair is gray. Not living for tomorrow just for today.
We're breaking her back she's down on her knees. They make the plague and invent the disease as they steal from the poor and make em' say please.
The weather forecast says we're in for a naked storm. Build up the bombs that burst from the core. So we can pile up the bodies on a course for the morgue. Fire on the warpath so the corpses are warm.
Call it their duty so they believe that they're needed policing the masses until their lives are depleted.
Sitting at the lip on the edge of the cliff believing the lies, losing your grip. fingers are ****** as you're feeling em' slip. Sliding down fast with your fleeting regret.
They're breaking her back she's begging them please. Feed her some plague and make her believe.  Build a device to maker concede propagate War set the beast free.
Batten down the hatches prepare for the storm. Send a barrage of bullets on a course for the norm. Settle for nothing and you'll never have more. coddle your loved ones to make them feel warm.

Started with denial
Too unreal to believe

Then we were lost
No remedy to relieve

With uncertainty & despair
Many are broken beyond repair

But we crawled into acceptance
Built a fort of interdependence

When normalcy seems a far-fetched wish
You realise the time wasted on bigger fish

Maybe its a hint to straighten up priorities
When its life or death, too futile for insecurities

Normal days are the hardest
to remain close to God

On good days
There is something to
Celebrate with Him

On bad days
There is something to
Cry to Him about

On normal days
Everything feels good
That I forget how much
I need Him

it’s normal.
to have days where you just watch your thoughts reach and flirt with each other in the ceiling.
where you don’t turn that prompt into the opening lines of a poem.
where you’re left unprepared without your best outfit.

it’s normal to have days for sleeping in ‘til 4pm.
where you only tick off two items off your todo list and calling it a day.
where you take time in the shower to sift through your thoughts.

some days are meant for adoring the sky.
for accepting you’re infinitesimal in the grand scheme of things.
some days are meant to be slow.

“and it’s normal and you’re alright-or will soon be.”

My love is wrong in the eyes of the sane
to them it seems my love is irrational
possessive, obsessive
chained to my wrists
I suppose it's my fault
I suppose it's all their's
I think I'm forgetting the normal thoughts
and feelings a person is to have
Clinging onto the familiar
and what was thrown at me when
I was younger.
It scares some away
and brings others closer
Insanity goes unnoticed by those inflicted. Don't go on thinking I'm a terrible person for not understanding social constructs the same way as you do.

I'm an artist too
But instead of painting trees
It's my skin that I use
To craft my masterpiece

I'm a poet too
But the way I write my scars
They sink into my body
They sink into my heart

I'm a liar too
I can look you in the eyes
And tell you just how much
I love to be alive

See? I fit right in...
