There but for the grace of God go I.

There but for the grace of God go I.
Having reached the age of six n seventy
Eagles of the sea have taught me to fly
Rich rewards await if you reach a land o plenty
Expectations under wraps but you have to try

By loving and giving the passport to nobility
Unless you keep a faith you’ll never know why
There but for the grace of God go I

Fortune favours t’ brave my Daddy w’ so wise.
On those winter nights he reads to my delight
Rubicon of literary giants was my prize.

The works o’ Rudyard Kipling kept a boy alive
Hidden hero’s mentoring a child with a desire
Every Sunday church attend all were s’advised

Granted there but for the grace of God go I
Running clear of all the gangs Im traumatised
Atheists n sinners ridiculed looking in my eyes
Call yourself a Christian ?Well we are amazed
Even with such provocative faith held for years

On life threatening occasions it never wavered
Faith holds the key as friends fail to survive

Gladly ,there but for the grace of God go I
Oh grant me that grace to be of your PA
Diligence and devotion t’ serve you all my days

God channeled me my words for love of man
Only wish to perpetuate the joy of poetry.

In an age. When fake news is everywhere .

life

life; it’s a precious thing that can vanish anytime
Don’t let it slip through your fingers, dream big and start the action, take control of your life, make wild choices but good ones

Live wild, laugh at the good times, cry when you go through a heartbreak, cry when you come in first in a race because last place was what you always achieved, smile when good achievements are made

Travel and adventure the world, before all of it can vanish in one second,

Don’t let the small things agitate you, be patient, make music with the sound of nature, strum to your own heart beat, because we only have a few seconds to experience the joy that life can bring us, don’t let it slip through your fingers

I used to love seeing your face everyday.
In fact, I would only leave my house knowing you would be there.
The more we talk face to face, we began to run out of topics to cover.
Disagreements would happen so new conversations could be created.
We began to enjoy the art of silence and the art of presence.

Distance has became the new appreciation.
In fact, I would fill my schedule with work to avoid meeting you.
I did not have to face your attitude or deal with any negativity.
I was able to do me and still enjoyed knowing you are there for me.
You have became the backup to my loneliness.

The more I think about it, the more I liked it.
In fact, I started to enjoy independence and found self-love.
I never have to worry about what to plan for us or what to do next.
The amount of freedom I felt, relieved me from stressing out.
I can decide on the spot, click send and just move on.

Can’t find my peace
I’m ill at ease
No need to tease
Just gotta breathe

Gimme some room
A bit of slack
And I shall bloom
I’ll have your back

A friendly reminder:
All you gotta do is be kinder
To yourself and others
Young guns, old brothers

Send good vibes
Take no sides
Truth be told
We only got one world.

In the silence of the night
In a serenity of mind
With gesture
Without any word

The Moon tends to change
The state of mind
Offering a secret message
“Never overdue happiness”

In the journey of thought
Most of us
Lose all the senses
Some recovers, SANE
Most remains, INSANE
Genre: Observational
Theme: Happiness is a state of mind. Can you handle happiness?

When you write
Do you think of what to say?
Do you aim to see a certain way?
Are you careful with your words?
Slipping in a secret password?

Do you even care to rhyme?
Or are you frugal with your time?
Do you want to send a message?
Or perhaps a foreboding presage?

At the end of the day
A poem is a poem
Even one as simple as this
Even if it falls flat.

Like this.
