Mama, this is your black sheep
In this life that you have given me
There is sadness and misery
I can hear you whispering prayers for me
But I can also see you very clearly
Deeply regretting giving birth to me

Mother, this is your wayward baby
I’m sorry that you can’t understand me
The state of my hair or the clothes I wear
The fact that I’m never really there
“Always living life without care” you said
But I swear I’m better off elsewhere

Birth giver, this is your son of a gun
Your boyfriend has always made me feel
Unwelcome and emotionally numb
I left home so you don’t have to sleep alone
But since then my heart has turned to stone
And my mommy issues are starting to show
sometimes love can be evil
but don't get discouraged don't blame all us people
deceitful to trust and be mad when it's lost
you are the giver taker and receiver
you make your losses
and you chance your tosses
until you are dead you are your own believer
your own lovely keeper
no maids for your mess you are the only sweeper
use swiffer be swifter don't sniffle don't fall
don't let the dust get in your cracks on the wall
hang up some paintings a picture or four
each of your memories stick them in drawers
no room for bad company kick out remorse
open their door
vacuum the floor
clear out your vents
and make way for what's more
spring cleaning is fun
isnt clutter a bore?
not knowing what's here, and never getting much more

I had so much faith
that your hands
wouldn't drop me,
the same way
everyone else's
did.
But as i fell
through your
fingertips
I realised
you were
all the same.

Normally,
I am well-guarded.
When it came to you,
there was oversight.

I had walls built up to the sky.
Someone threw you a rope -
maybe it was me? Who knows,
But I allowed you to climb
the bricks of my mind,
meticulously placed and cemented with time.
I even went out my way and laid
a ladder against the other side.

A struggle indeed,
but you mastered the feat.
But then there was trouble
when you got to the peak..
I don't know
maybe you got too high.
Maybe I'm just
too consumed with fright.
I don't know,
but you hesitated.
Then you tripped.
In a panic, I kicked
away the rescue
And that's when you
fell down and missed..
hit the ground - but untouched?!
So then guess what?
You got up and brushed
away the debris..
Not even a scratch;
only my soul was crushed.
I'm left in defeat and
even more shattered trust.
Because
yes, I am guarded
but I've already shown you too much.
it was good until it wasn't.

The war against extreme Muslims
what did we have when we was growing up
the Cold War
and the probs in Northern Ireland
Nothing changes

Just the year and enemy changes
I'd rather have Neo Soviet Russia
and Red China as enemies
Tho dangerous we know their capabilities
Little is unknown unlike this new war

I'm sorry that I constantly push you away, without an explanation at all,
I'm trying my best, but my trauma convinces me that you may hurt me.

My issues make me feel lonely, even when there are days when I am not.
I secretly crave attention and love, but will never admit to it because of my trust issues.

So instead, I make myself content within my loneliness and
made the rain beating against my window on a winters night,
                                        my only friend.
to those who push everyone they love away bc they feel as tho they don't deserve to be loved or are worried to be hurt again and are haunted by your past relationships.

I’m lost in my head again

But it’s not so bad cause it’s kind of cozy in here....

Have you ever been so high up that you can see the world below...

And though you float amongst the clouds, you can’t help but feel so alone

As we ask ourselves this every so often cause what’s worse, than a regret filled coffin....

As the sun goes down
And time goes on

Although we grow old
Yet the scars never truly heal

While we’re on the move
And adjusting ourselves to change

Though the world will deceive you
And so will your own heart

Yet you should “wear that smile”
And never ever look back

Cause everything will pass
And so will this
Nothing was the same but somehow they get a tiny bit better, just keep an open heart and mind

Sometimes it’s easier to just survive than to learn how to truly live.....
