Where will I end up? Somewhere
Will I be lost when I get there? Lost
Where am I suppose to be? There
Will it take all that I've got? Cost
Will I know when I am there? Yes
But should I continue? Go
What will i do? Impress
Do I ever settle for less? No
Who will be there? You
And with me? New
Adventures for all the new? True
A new life that will lead to what? Pursue
Pursue things that lead me where? Home
But what should I continue to do? Roam

We have one shot to make a difference.
We have one shot to show them who we are.
To make them see we aren't who they think we are.
To let them hear us.

We must leave behind a legacy.

Let the younger ones see us fighting for what we believe in-
let them see us dressing for ourselves and not to impress others constantly
let them see us being who we are
let them see us using our words for good and not for evil

Start to respect myself.
Outwardly reflect myself.

I used to make poetry
That would appeal to many.
I was wrong.
Because now I write
As long as I would feel right.

We say we ok when we not because that's the acceptable thing to say
We say goodbye when we want to beg you to stay or want to talk some more but have nothing to say
Gone are the days of honesty frankness and truth
These are the days of walls and heavily guarding our pride and ego...heart?
We feel and feel
But only recite lines,lines off this script of proper etiquette
After all we wouldn't want to unsettle the audience
So say your fine
Force a smile
And while you're at post a nice post on insta  just to #showthem

For to impress
You must supress

I have nothing to impress you
            nor the strength to follow
                        your surefooted step.
                             But the will to be yours
                                            with love forever.

Acting to please others
Yet why even try?
Most end up bothers
Rest quickly say goodbye
It's always a lot of stress
To try and always impress

There are too many people
To care about every person
But in my back like a needle
Is a need for acception
I end up becoming a mess
Trying to always impress

I can feel their eyes
Judging my every move
As if they're more wise
Myself I have to prove
I am their slave, I confess
Always trying to impress

Except this is all in my head
I need to stop creating strife
So I matter when I'm dead
To those who care about my life
But to truly end this distress
I must be the first one I impress
