He watches the world turn from his window.
He sees the beauty as the trees bloom, and dance with the wind.
Birds sing and fly freely. It's a gentle place he thinks. A warm smile on his face. Despite all it's hardships, all the ugliness and turmoil it holds, it's still beautiful.
It seems like the world is miles away from him.
Every now and then, he lets out a few tears, but does his best to stay humble. He wants to run through the meadows, swim in the oceans, climb the highest mountains, but the I.V. in his arm simply won't let him.
He watches the world from his window.
Just wishing he could be a part of it.

I told you I'd follow you until the end, but it looks like we're already there.
So watch me disappear, deep in my despair.

Forget me, for I am sinking.
Forget me, like the tides that forgot to recede after they pulled me from my feet. Drowning me beautifully below the surface.
Forget me, as I've forgotten what it feels like to have a pulse. The water in my lungs, a malady I can't escape from.
Forget me, as the currents drag me further from the shore. Leaving me more empty and broken than I've ever been before, but, as the sun sets into the sea, remember me.
Remember me for who I used to be.
In the velvet midnight sky
The illuminated moon hung high
Crickets chirp their melancholy songs
As though the night gave out a sigh

Grim clouds cover the moon
As if with gloomy grace;
Trickles of rain descend
Soon downpour like a race

Rainfall beating like a drum;
Creating a frantic orchestra,
Shooing crickets into fright
Arising ambivalent glum

Suddenly rainfall and grim clouds depart
Leaving its soaked mark on the earth
Refreshing the velvet midnight sky
As though it never occurred
Meaning: What sparked the inspiration for this poem was while sitting on my bed in silence with my window open during a rainy night and hearing crickets and having a fascination towards to moon altogether put this poem into creation.

It was intricate,
Rather spooky.
With
A wobbly stage,
Dimmed lights,
An ever-pressing roof,
A truly maleficent air.
And I,
A 'poor player' in desperation clad,
Acted but poorly,
With you in front,
By that marbled pillar.

Come and go
Seasons barely touching as autumn transitions to winter
The passers by see devastation unbeknown to theirselves

A storm of leaves in auburn hues constantly plummeting towards the ground in every which way possible
All a gorgeous streaky blur as they advance through the graveyard of the world
Leaving every grave untouched as they float past

It's all noticed by the passerby
Perceived through crystal clear glass
Every single stark detail untouched and untampered
Seen as it is

On they watch
They won't admit but relief, gratefulness flood their beings
As they glide by
Feet above the marshy ground, soggy and trodden
They are not yet ravaged by life's cruel twists
Free from the plooms of smoke and swirls of mist
Judgment unclouded by the murky emotions of the graveyard

On and on they advance
Torturous sights behold their eyes
Past souls tormented by the weight of fate
Lives consumed by its deviating path
A gloomy and crooked path indeed

For the passerby: some knowledge
Make the most of your lucid journey
And when it shall end do not lose yourself among graves

For those tortured souls: continue as passers by
Do not bury yourself with your grief for it shall drag you to the depths
And it does not let go
Such is the fate of this life

But ultimately it falls upon you

**** all artificial lights
no natural causes but
natural darkness
fake lights for true dark
blackest of blacks
like charred tree bark
leave but one imposter
glowing in the gloom
just pale enough
to write onto
and that's my door to you

When thoughts of despair and gloom crowd into your mind
know them to be only passing shadows of an illusory kind.
When clouds obscure the light of the sun, moon or stars in the sky,
they have a similar effect but if dispersed reveal light from up high.

Dear poetry,
You are still here aren't you
Why haven't you left me?
When I only ever wrote you gloomy,
Only so I feel better expressing myself to anyone who reads it
And discards it in their short term memory, left abandoned to be forgotten,
Why haven't you left me?
You're only there to display my grieves to those
Who look at you one second and look at someone else the other
Why haven't you left me?
When I rant on you, play with words on your belly to make an impact and point to the world
That my world isn't a happy place, that I am the biggest fault in my world
And you are the support which obscures all my faults
As they only see the calligraphy of words and mosaics I make out of you. They all seek beauty and heart touching sentences out of you and pluck them out like with their silly fingers and adore them. Cause why does anyone want to know about gloom? There is plenty in their world I bet.
While you over there materialise yourself for me and only me, open yourself to any other person who passes by and close down when they are done plucking out your beauty.
Why oh why, after all this are you with me?
Maybe because I have tied you to me
Maybe because I don't want you to leave.
