Lady Bird Mar 2017
once treasured
like a gem
a strong, beating
yet fragile heart
struggling alone
caged now trapped
in hopes and fears
garding the only key
to its loving soul
Mazen Edlibi Nov 2016
Happiness creeps into my being those days!
Hope sheds its soothing light into my castle!
Humor touches the corner of my nights with ease!
Her face keep visiting my papers to engrave her beauty!
Her words let me feel the giggles that she sees me!
All of that is and much more from her!
All of that and she is the shine!
All of that and she is the Gem!
Thank you...even if  your mind turns you away! :)
                                  You...will stay..The...
                                               Gem!

Just as
The worth
of an
Undiscovered gem
Still exists,
She's a hidden beauty.
Like
the inside
of a wave
that curls
Shyly,
Wrapping itself
in it's
Magnificent
Turquoise walls;
It's strong
before it crashes,
then tumbles
into it's desires.
Not many see or appreciate it,
But those who
Dare to brave
the
Wild swirl
of wonder,
Are left with Fascination
And Dreamy eyes.

I found solace within a rock.
It encapsulates sunlight, a greedy absorber of:
Toxins, poisons. Maladies of an internal kind.
As it took whatever fear I gave, whatever fault I could find.

I found 31 and wrapped them around my wrist

To glance- remake, remind me:
That all fears dissapaite
In an amber coloured sea.
My new bracelet came in the mail, guess what it's made of?

There are a few people you meet
Who are truly authentic and
Genuine.

These people are what I call ' gems '
They teach us things
That most us
Don't even know exist

Dar Dar Dark-ness is-fu-tile-to this lit-tle-dream
I have,
hid-den in cre-vices of things-to the-ones I lack,

The past is the past and even in the past seeing what I use
To lack and given up,
Confusion is nothing new to a couple of youngins' cruising
On the country roads in a big truck,
Life is so much more precious than a diamond or a gem in
hopes to shine bright as they were,
We all can not be perfect in a mellow dramatic world full of
Politics and secret purge,

I I I-could be-everything-to all-of your-stonewalls,
you-break-them down-for me-and all-of your-
worries fall.

I've never been kissed so gently
so purposefully
as if the world depended on your lips
and my skin.

I'm not sure what you see
maybe a flower with thin petals you don't want to rip,
maybe a face of porcelain you don't want to scratch,
maybe a healing heart you don't want to bruise.

I've never been kissed so softly,so cautiously, like you are somehow made of shattered glass
and are careful not to cut my skin
just because you are broken.

As if you don't see the scars and burns
that already pepper my heart,
as if I'm the fragile one,
     thin and feeble,
small and unreachable as if there is a chance I could melt into the ground
if you hold too tight,

and maybe there is a chance I will.

It seems like you map out the placement,
like stars making a curious pattern in the sky,
beyond either of our reaches.

I've never been kissed so delicately,so deliberately
like the winds at midnight across the ocean,
powerful and moving,
soft and caressing.

As if I'm a gem you have been searching for,
blood red,
milky,
uncut
and you don't want to snag your lips on my edges,
or maybe you don't want to scratch the surface.

I'm not sure I will ever know.

Like an old clipper, sailing on the water
My soul searches all the seas of life
Trying to find that elusive treasure
Not made of gold or silver.

Guided by shining lights placed in towers
Guided by twinkling stars blazing in the sky
I find my wondering ways through the world
Living all the great stories yet untold.

Within the bounds of all four corners
Of this sphere we all claim as home
I search for that elusive treasure
Not made of jewels or gems.

And when I've passed on and sunk
No longer kissing the water's surface
I will be remembered always, forever
Like a ship in a bottle.

Don't ever let any one tell you that you're not beautiful.

You are a most precious gem,
beautiful in nature, unique in design.
One of which all men are hoping to find
A gem that should be strung on a necklace
and kept close to the heart,
Yet necklaces are often only seen in part.

Perhaps you should be on the band of a ring
on a hand like a string,
reminding everyone of your glorious beauty,
Yes for all the world to see the treasure that you be.

But hands are often, time and again
bound to get ***** now and then.
No, not on necklace nor a ring can
all your beauty be on display.
If there was something I could do,
if I could just find a way.

Perhaps on the ear you can hang,
          where no dirt will be
But lo, there is hair and hair blocks
the beauty the world needs to see.

Where can I put a gem like you?
Necklace, ring, and earring all won't do
So where can I display a beauty like you?

At last only one place remains,
(Though your beauty I could never contain)
In a case, behind glass, on a stand made of brass,
where dirt nor hair get in the way
where your beauty can be put on display.

Then the world may know what treasure have I,
to hold such a gem as yourself makes me one blessed guy.
