Indicators of the night sky, bursting bright.
The kind of bugs which glow so brightly it must surely hurt their buggy eyes.
In the summertime they come alive, to illuminate the dark of night.
And slowly wake by no mistake, to congregate and enjoy their lives.
Because they are the fireflies and it's with the summer they coincide.
Like a lightning storm or an electric hive, they soar as more than just common flies.
Perhaps the owl of old was right when he said that you wouldn't believe your eyes,
At the ten of millions of indicators, burning across the open sky.

It always starts with death, the pheromones do
Dance on the whispers of air. It beckons to those
Of appetite to seed this silk husk of decay.

They do dance upon its pungent rigor-mortis,
Cultivating the void that was life. The calling
Of a flowering beckons as petals of white cascade.

And then this poignant collection of events collided,
Bursting forth and what was but decay did feed life.
A collage of fragrances hit upon the air and wept.

These petals of silk did tumble upon the flesh and absorb
The sinews to bone. Once they had danced they, withered
Into corruption. Drifting onyx lifted fleeing to  the wind.

The shades of the red
Painted in the sky
Let me know
The end of today is nigh

Soon the dark
Night would befall
Uneasiness restlessness
Gets filled in my soul

But the truth comes
Before my eyes
The mighty time
Always flies

It always goes on
Never stopping is its art
The fear quiets
In my soul and heart

From my mouth
Comes a sigh
From today
I take a goodbye

In the morrow
See you soon
Be on time
Like this night's moon

A new tomorrow
Would begin
Just same as today
Because it's today's twin
The dusk of today is followed by the dawn of tomorrow

Flies are falling all around me
Dropping
Paralyzed
Struck
I never thought
I would hope
So badly
For just one
Fly on the wall
Shalini Jain May 2015
Time flies faster than the sand thou beholds
In today's world it means more than gold

There are times we turn back and smile
"Hey i dint realise
Time so swiftly flew by!"

And sometimes time crawls slower than the sloth,
When sitting through a boring lecture
Or listening to someone endlessly talk.

And when we get deadlines time feels like money,
We start using it like a miser bunny.

Time doesn't stay stagnant
And never does it stop
Though lovers might deny
Immersed in beloved's eyes
They forget to see the clock!

Men see time according to there needs,
And wish it moved at a pace they pleased.

Time is a healer,
Time is a killer,
Time if treasured can lead to success
But if wasted life can be an ungrateful disgrace.
Only the ones who use time aptly are able to make the most out of their lives.

I've watched you change
Into a fly
I looked away
You were on fire
I watched a change
In you
It's like you never
Had wings
Now you feel
So Alive
I've watched you change
I took you home
Set you on the glass
I pulled off your wings
Then I laughed
I watched a change
In you
It's like you never
Had wings
Now you feel
So alive
I've watched you change
It's like you never
Had wings
I look at the cross
Then I look away
Give you the gun
******* away
I've watched a change
In you
It's like you never
Had wings
Now you feel
So Alive
I've watched you change.
I love this song so much
Had to repost

Be careful,
Because you...

Catch more flies with honey, bring more bees with flowers.
But you might find a bear or a thorn;
The times that you think it can't be worse
Are when to remember this little verse.
That if you can catch it, capture and keep it
Then love it and know it is yours.
But what comes to bother you surely must leave you
and you'll be alright of course.

May Mother Earth ground you, come what may;
God give you wisdom to send trouble away.
I wrote this verse for optimism, that troubles are never permanent.

I killed a fly
For no other reason
Than that it was bothering me

But that is what flies do

Did it deserve death?

Now it's body is
Lying on the floor
Next to my feet

I am a murderer.

I tried to scoop up his lifeless body --
To resurrect it--
To breath into it
The breath of Life

But I am not God.
I don't give life.
I take it.

my fingers are like insects -
twitching flies ready to live
because come nightfall
their bodies will fall
still.

but the night never comes -
there is always light here
unless i’m forced to see
just how disgusted
others grow
with me.

dawn breaks into starlight
as i am cast into the dark
cage of my body being
forced to bottle
my motion
until i
burst.

to bottle a supernova
is as foolish as it is
impossible.
