Your song ends but your melody plays.
Your body crumbles but the feelings stays.
Minutes, hours, days, you were at my side.
You will never be forgotten in my lifetime.
Can you return to me? As a shadow, or a dream?
Because life without you is so much harder than it seems...
So much tears I've shed, my heart cannot bear.
Your touch is still upon me as they become stairs.
If I could go to Heaven, and ask for one thing,
I'd ask for you again and the blessings you bring.
I didn't shower you enough with affection and praise
Just know that
you will forever be my always...
A poem I write from my journey to the park, with fresh tears in my eyes at seeing people with their loved ones. We all hurt someone we love...
It's apart of being human.
You only live once.
Treasure all those you hold dear.
From your blood family, to the family YOU get to choose.

And so the twisting began
Telling tale under moonlight
A fickle old soul
And difficult woman
Took your hand into hers
Desperate to relieve her
Countless years of flagellation
In the sad song she sings

But the world won't listen
And the crone knows why
The world won't listen and
She knows, she knows,
She knows why
Because the saddest songs
Remain silent below
The lonely sigh

You made your mistake
Deserve of this
Close knowing
You said your ears were
Always open
Not fully
Understanding
What that means
Same
You are losing power
I no longer fear you
Justice will be served

I love the sun on summer day
As I walk bare feet at the bay
I love the leaves of steady trees
The winds whistles their branches
free
I love the words of old aged books
But I don't judge them on their looks
I love the sound of the rustling grass
On the springtime field when I pass

I also love the rain at night
But loud thunders they give me fright
I love the silence of a room
Or in a hallway when I roam
I love to stay awake till dawn
To fill my mind until it's gone
And when it's dark and I am sick
I love your smile across your cheek
Just in case you go

Retrospect tells me that this is the year
Where my mind must ponder anew it all:
All these things I held true, my darling dear.
I go on a journey (if you must call)
Through disposition and natural born
Instincts and beliefs till myself I find.
Locked in confusion I grow so forlorn,
And though it’s you I hurt, you act so kind.
You must find someone else to hold your soul;
Love names me defender but it’s not I –
Faithless and worn, I should not be your goal,
Yet death ‘lone could leech my final goodbye.
I figured out after so many tries:
My feelings are fickle and my heart lies.

She was so beautiful,
Yes, she was gorgeous.
But then she was young,
Yes, when she was young.
She was really very strong,
Yes, she was really stronger.
But so sad, all is in past tense,
She turns so badly treacherous.
Kissed me in the dark secretly,
Such a fickle hearted beauty.

A fickle heart
Begets a fickle
Mind of fickle
Thoughts
Fickle people

I am aware,
That fate is fickle
There is no need
To despair
When I am in a pickle
As fate is fickle
As it all just is
A brittle brick
However
The bitterness of pickles
Are not quite as fickle
Just something I thought about in a car ride on rainy day
Beau Scorgie Apr 2016
They call me fickle.
But what can you change if you
can't change your own mind?
