So close -
I am
Knowing
Soon
It must end
As expected
Life turns to death
And
Hate turns to love
This un-ending cycle
Wishing otherwise
That one cannot have it all
Even though I thought
Immortality was for me
Knowing
I am
So far -
Can be read from either top to bottom or vice versa. Just experimenting a bit
Andrew M Bell Feb 2015
Walking home alone on Saturday night,
social sounds spilling around me then
fading in my slipstream,
I round the corner of my street and
an image of your face rises
to combat the cold that searches for
the marrow of my bones.
Hope flutters like a wounded bird into
the pale sky of a vision desperate
with longing.

Forgive my physical hunger.
You were right to deny it
because by morning
you had given me
a far greater nourishment.

Farthest World
You haven't reached this world yet, of mine
You, the distant viewer.
My words are no arrow
And aimed at none.
If you feel provoked,
Wait a moment, meditate . . .
I am no more
But you are still there!

If I told you every time I thought about you would you think I was weird? Would you think it was strange?

I don't know what it is about you that makes me go insane but I think about you constantly spinning me around smiling gazing all while the rest of the world isn't invited into our secret conversations.

I could Love you. I could get used to this but you are a fleeing moment that will soon be a memory.
Sometimes you just have to let your mind go there without letting your body. This was one of those times.

I talked to a new guy today.
He charmed me with quick lines
and made me dream again.
Made me think about our hands intertwined
and soft good morning kisses.

The butterflies were gone for months after you.
It's as though they longed to explore other stomachs.
They left when we didn't work out and
I lost the best feelings along with your smile.

I always fall in love too quickly and
fall out of it as though I'm a slinky
           in
                     and
                           out
                     of
         hearts.
I swear I wanted to stay, but "it's for the best"
at least that's what I told you while I was pretending to not cry.

And yet again,
I've promised another one I would stay.

far away,
i am far away from you
thats what i hate the most,
forgive me for not be there,
i was drunk in the sky
trying to reach my dreams.

Jeg er den natteravn som du holder vågen om natten.

Jeg er den stille regn som kun høres hvis du tordner.

Jeg er din søvnløse datter som er bange for torden.

He’s here; he was real
But the distance isn’t soft
And fogs had to kneel
In mine and in his; the places will be rift

He’s here; he was real
I could hear him laugh; could even see him smile
But the mile was so far and the view they conceal
From my pale pavement to his palace’s aisle.

He’s here; he was real
I might have held him just right now
Then we’ll be singing in a vow
But the thieves were in places; I would have known now how to feel.

He’s here; he was real
But I doubt he would have known me
For my place is far altered
From his all-known near kingdom they called love.
loving someone who's not even aware of your existence is like waiting for a shooting star to fall. you were once eager and hopeful until you get tired...
for you realized how it had been cloudy all night long.

Across this room,
                                     your vibrations are loose,

                  weaving into mine.
10 word memory.
