How great an artist
The work of an ace sculptor
So many faces I see
There’s beauty in all
No end to inspiration
To keep creating everyday
Gifted with beautiful heart
And radiant feelings
Genuine smile on those faces
Fills everyday with happiness
A portrait of the soul
Can be seen on the faces
The glint in the eyes
Are jewels of the face
Stars descend on earth
Mesmerized by the eyes
Smiles win hearts
I see so many faces
And I am filled with joy
The sad saga
and brittle memories
for the cast and crew
of a sinking melodrama.

No badinage
their faces turned away
silent as secrecy
in the bright artificial light.

Rewinds of prototypes
of decaying greys
with visions
that glare at shadows.

The devil looks familiar
When I pass him in the streets
Something about his hair and eyes
reminds myself of me
Or you perhaps.
His face is never clear
Always changing.
But the devil is always
Familiar to me
Perhaps because
I am so familiar with him

Standing on the curb
Watching your other self
Pass you by, waving as they pass
Do you get up and go find yourself
Or do you wait for yourself
To come back to yourself?

A question I asked myself countless times
Times when I felt like I wasn't being real
To my true self
Life is sometimes cruel
With its trials and tribulations
To the point where one has to leave
Ones truest convictions
To pursue a life of less substance

Thinking about the fellow
Who looked like a replica of me earlier
I examined myself and how my life
Has taken turns to the unknown
Crisscrossing into an unknown maze
Knotting and unknitting
Right in front of my eyes
I sometimes sit and wonder
What I had done with the thread of life
Cause I'm at the point of choking myself
With every move I make

The next minute I found myself lost
In the beautiful words by a wonderful poet
That I hold dear
And she said:
"It is the very liquid soul
That oozes from this pores
To light the sidewalks with our magic
Beyond the distant shores
It is the joy from which the laughter
Of the dying is drawn"

Sitting in my apartment
Later still, that same evening
I got rudely awaken by an abrupt call
From the police department
When I was asked to identify my own body.
Sculpted by the tides
Marble faces
Cold embraces
Listless lies
Float in the wind
Drifting boats
Sink and disappear
A diaspora of shadows
Misanthropic memories
Malevolent, mimicking.
Glimpsed of innocence
Casually met
Words from strangers
A lot in common
Wine and smiles
Unsolicited lies
Cool distaste
Remnants of disrespect
Cracks in the ice
The inevitable rift
Fragmented faces
The corrosion of moments.
The way to the city
on both sides of the street
was discretely displayed
then replayed
as recollections of the mundane
inequitable and respectable
a ubiquitous ritual
with screams of laughter
cries from shouting houses
and grimacing faces.

A blizzard of faces flow through our minds

all so similar designed around central features

that draw in our emotion triggering memories

Faces that show our souls to the world

our innermost secrets

naked to all others

In those myriad of faces we can see the world

all the nobility of the human race the love the hope

also the terrifying the despair the anger

Faces show our souls to the world

our greatest strengths

our deplorable weaknesses

open to all

All these windows bring to me an avalanche of memory

love to light the world, hate to destroy

lust to add fire, hopelessness to darken

Faces show our souls to the world

through it all i wander amazed

transfixed by the life

that flows from us all

Our faces show that life is never-ending

the trial and tribulation mark us

as do the joy and happiness

Faces show our souls to the world

what can we choose?

my choice is to shine

and light my own way

How many faces you wish?
For you are not true to your own
Can you bear the burden of many?
Posing as everyone, but you
Even the mirror will be flummoxed
Ashamed to show the real you
Maybe a face forgotten long ago
Waging a war against yourself
An army of many faces adopted
Will bring you to the gallows
That will be the end to your identity
When you will be unmasked

~ Disguised in your own skin
   Overwhelming thrive to be seen
~ What to prove, what to win?
   Acceptance from unimportant faces
~ The faces criticize, they believe what they want o
   Unreasonable explanations, blinded by tragedy
~ Unaware of the value of someone like you
Strong, brave, a high head with high hopes
~ Let them underestimate, let them laugh
They'll soon come to realize, they're the ones who must cope
~ You've come so far, and with so little fear
The ones who care are sure to linger near
~ Continue to express your radiance and love
Until the end of your journey, you'll continue to shine
~ Set your mind free, don't listen to those faded faces
Undermining stress comes with too much of a shove
~ No matter where I go, I'll remember your spirit forever
I'll carry on what you've taught me, to different worlds and places
~ Different ways you've impacted my life
These things I'm sure not to forget, ever
~ Each day our friendship grows stronger
With fights, laughs, even some irrelevant drama
~ Our memories, our thrills, everything in between
If you believe in our friendship, it'll last even longer
