The world spins as I breathe
In.
out.
But it will continue when I stop.
.
Cloud covers the sky,
Flashes shimmer through,
Golden rims surrounding blue.

Your breath was lighted language

I could hardly breathe, nil airs,
The earth was smothered on highs,
My only breaths broke out into sighs.

Our breaths enjoined us once unto sun

For you, my deathly lad took all,
I look into wee, empty, cold heavens,
See shout out names of babes forsaken.

*In heaven is a moon taking breaths away

Laying in my bed.
Sleeping and dreaming.
About things I left unsaid.
My heart's still beating.

Waking up dizzy and sweaty
Stepping on the freezing floor.
My head feels heavy.
I slowly open the door.

Stepping out of my room.
Where I’ve been locked up.
Still night, is what I would assume.
I feel like I’m about to throw up

Walking down the creaking stairs.
Step by step, an unpleasant sound.
Down to all the unawares.
The touch of the cold concrete ground.

I can’t stand up anymore.
As I stretch my hand.
I collapse down on the floor.
This is not how I had planned.

I need to wake up from this gross nightmare.
I don’t want to have a single regret.
There’s a secret I need to share.
Before I forget.

1.  Put the plastic bat on the ground
Press your forehead against the top of it
And spin in circles ten times exactly
Or as close as you can count to ten times around
Use the crab grass as a marker while you turn

2.  If there was ever a girl I was meant to be with her name was Megan Briley
By fifth grade I knew she was a girl who was going to need saving
I didn’t know back then that saving was what I would cling to in the dark
It was a long November when she moved away
Neither her or I knew much of the other and we never will
For obviously good reasons

3. Push the bat down onto the ground
Look up
Dizzy as you may be
Find the cone and run to it
Do not fear the grass stains as you sprint around it
See the finish line and run with all your might

4. Luggage poured out of the overhead compartment when we landed in Shanghai
Contents had shifted
The air was thick
And soggy
And it all just looked like smoke out the window of the airport
My dad told me it was just the way the air was here
It made me sick for weeks

5. All you have to do is tag your friend’s hand
Then collapse in a heap at the end of the line and watch
To see if your team is going to win the relay race
Allyssa Clark is the fastest girl in the yard and she’s on your team
Odds are good you’ll leave this party a champion

In my room by old window,
As turn lights are dimmed,
The face of new shy moon
Presents a dream genuine,

Simply the light of my love,
As you haunt me enthralled
I hear the sweet doves coo,
In the morning stillness call,

Your photo beams a shout,
As it whispers from my wall,
Silent, as the sun lights out,
Under the moon at nightfall.

Memories swirl in my diary,
I remake what has now fled,
What simple pleasures cry,
In jots for moony tears shed,

Window to worlds now sad,
In faintest light beyond true,
My black haired, lovely lad,
I will always remember you.

Back and forth
And back again,
In and out you go;
There you were,
Now here you are,
No place too close
Nowhere too far,
An endless loop
Of your indecision
Leaves me dizzy
From all this spinning.
I will lay by thee sire,
Dark tall, frozen-eyed sentinel,
What deep harness,
You ****** upon me,
What sorrows I nae see beyond thee,

Black sire in stables, punish me

I will give in to you,
Limp and strafed about yon body,
Without any purse,
I will succumb to you,
What joys you may make me suffer.

Sweet stallion please, break me

I will let you neck me,
Hard and true as the red deer rutting,
Shameless in pride,
I shall betroth my love,
What promise shall gait in surrenders.

*I shall be your mare, unbridle me
a sense of loss
   of lacking
   close to panic

the world spins by
   and leaves me
   in the void

ferocious nightmares
   rise out of
   restlessness expanding

until your voice
   saves me
   from drowning

you left last week and
i have vertigo
the room spins if
i move my head
in any direction and
i think that
my body is telling me that
i need to keep my head up or
literally, i will fall
the universe is funny sometimes

Pill number nine.
My head is pounding
And the room is spinning so fast,
I'm not sure which way is up.
My stomach is churning,
I can barely keep it's contents from
Making an appearance.
Nine, you better be worth this.

Pill number ten.
I can't take you.
I know the doctor said tonight,
But nine has me so sick
The thought of swallowing another pill
Just makes me gag.
You'll get your chance tomorrow.
