The winter wisps have gripped my neck
Taking every breath has left me unequipped for death

I watch my world spin and loose all control
What can be salvaged from inside my soul?

Foggy, grey, discombobulated in every way.
I sit on the park bench and wonder...
why does the wind spin in nature as it does in my head

I beg for freedom from my thoughts
I beg for independence
I beg for positive energy to reach me entirely

Try again tomorrow
Try again the next
Run until you have nothing left

Hannon,
felt superior  to the very nature of all things, and he found a way how to prove it.

“Why staying bound
by humanness,
while I am better
than anyone else”

With his own money,
Hannon bought a flock of birds
and raised them up in a dark place,
very dark place,
teaching them how to sing one song
named “ Hannon is God”,
This is all they’ll sing in the dark.

When Hannon considered
the birds learned the song,
he let them fly free,
believing his own song
“Hannon is God”
would spread everywhere
and would be heard by everyone.

He let them free,
the next moment
the free birds forgot Hannon’s song.

They flew free,
and song their own birdsong
to this day

Under the cover of stars
Reaching out
Into the dark
Hoping
Wishing for a dream to greet you

Seated in the silence
So loud
It's suffocating
Tormenting
Until

There is a whisper in the wind
Guiding you
Through a maze of stone
Something deep inside
Only to awaken
Vision blurred again
Rub away sleep

Unsure when the fear will leave
Put down the load you heave
Up a hill of uncertainty

Falling just to rise again
Hoping it'll all be fine
For better days to come

Back against the wall
Tears begin to flow
As memories never go
Nor will the pain

Out
Beyond the window
Comes a whisper
On sweet air
Hanging still
Loose from hiding
In the cracks

"Fight for your life,
For your right,
Never let go
Of who you are
Don't leave it as a scar
Or this battle is forever

So
Fight for your life,
For your right,
Free your heart
From the cage inside
No longer to hide."

A tune plays in the mind
Bringing strength
Wipe away your tears
Time to fight your fears
Before they consume you for years

Words flow
Hopefully not to fall
Upon deaf ears
Do not let go

Carry on,
Another day
Another dawn
Get up and on
Never let go
Forget the show

Don't let them control you
A puppet for their pleasure
Stand, cut the strings
Listen to your heart
No longer their words
Dripping poison in your cup

"Fight for your life,
For your right,
Never let go
Of who you are
Don't leave it as a scar
Or this battle is forever

So
Fight for your life,
For your right,
Free your heart
From the cage inside
No longer to hide."

Hold on
For your life
In their storm
As they try to shake you
Break you
To their will

Don't be still
Rise to your feet
Let the shackles fall away
Draw your sword
And fight.

Don't let people control your life- it's yours, not theirs.

*Listened to "One More Night" From The Ash while writing this.

"Suspense is like a woman. The more left to the imagination, the more the excitement."
~
A mixture
of sinister and sweet,
smoking gun at your feet.
Reclining dead
in a meadow,
or wishing you were
as you gaze out your window.

Bottling undecided dark,
catching keyed-up light,
in random, misleading angles.
The uniform hour
holds Grace, Grant,
and the mystery
it entangles.

Don't look directly
at the camera,
icy blonde afterimage.
Everything you need
is written on the page.
Number 13,
Mrs. Peabody?
Don't you know
all contemporary
escapist entertainment
begins by turning your back?
Lingering on what
suspicious minds track.

The migrating voyeurism
sits as the crow,
wired and unfriendly.
The method is an organism,
an implication, a crossbow,
thought, but unseen.
He will push the girl,
until you succumb
to dream sequences.
It's snowing humiliation
at Winter's Grace,
for out of the male gaze,
invading your space,
you become gifted
at doing nothing well,
in sheer
under-things,

(for inner circles & triangles of fur
are all the rage in Europe).

Yes, he hates pregnant women,
because then they have children.
So leave him
to his work,
to analyze your handwriting,
and build that ramp
directly into your trailer.

His larger than life silhouette
will fill the silver screen
with tension,
trip wire,
and a ****** ambivalence,
that ends with
the violent sound
of someone
packing a suitcase.

He enters by virtue of this door,
and you leave through another,
and another,
and another,
until the final scene
alters your state of mind.

Your pretty little feet
dangling precariously
over the edge...

My whole life has been
“Control”
“Control”
“Control”
It’s hard-wired into me.
But that much tension is fragile.
That’s why I’m easy to break.

Fiery tongues
Mysterious places
I pray my lord finds it
Within his good graces
To spare him the rod
And sever the tongue
No longer will truth
From this mouth be wrung
Of this matter here
Will he no longer shout
Nor speak, nor whisper
To people of doubt
We would steal his power
His talent to sway
And then turn the menfolk
To our cause today
And he will not speak
Of our place of no name
Here where we meet
And make men our game
Then when victory is nigh
Bring him out for display
As the crowd cheers
Have him slain where he lay
This is the price
A man such as he faces
For a fiery tongue
In mysterious places
Flying into a sea of clouds,
Makes me realise, as I look down
Upon how small the world is
And how I'm big enough to influence things,
To take charge
Hardly seems true in life.

Maybe I'm missing the patience required,
To make it large
Like the sun, I must rise everyday
Especially after the darkest nights
Radiating rays of hope and peace to everyone around.

It's a feeling of control
Over my life, over my flight
As I leave the runway
To take the jump,
Away from all that I despise
Hope I don't crack under the pressure
To live a happy life
And fly away into the clouds,
Where I will thrive.
