The Silence Mar 2017
The class begins
The hell breaks free
This chemical knowledge
Burns straight through me
I have one quest
To pass one test
But even so
My victory is
Short lived.

we're not magnetic
we're covalent
like hydrogen to oxygen

Chemistry is funny like that,
It never seems to go away.
Time and circumstances mean,
Nothing.
The world finds a way.
Everything happens for a reason.
Chemistry is funny like that,
I guess.

they smiled, they laughed.
the more i saw them together,
the more i understood
how the chemistry they had were undeniable —
it was like no other.
they stared at each other like they were art.
they talked and talked, words escaping their mouths like the world was to end.
their world only revolved around each other.
they felt alone, like they were the only ones —
nothing could break the barrier.
because he completed her half, as she completed his.

I wake up with the feeling of a million kisses now
and I just feel like nothing can top the original
and your smile compensates for every tear I feel like shedding in a day
the chemistry doesn't lie and I was right this whole time

McKayla Rose, Tribute to her Love

(I helped)

"When I first looked into your eyes,
Each breath became a thousand sighs,
The air was filled with love bird cries,
That was the day I realized,

How much you truly mean to me,
Chemistry, our synergy
I want the world to finally see...
...How we love, in unity

Since I met you,
I have learned to love the light
You were my lamp in stormy darkness
The day that breaks the night

You showed me a mirror
And inside I saw glimmer
A small shard of hope
That with love began to grow...

...Now I want the world to know,
How I feel and and see where we go, Love swirling around like the blowing snow
Don't say a word just hold me close

And as the day turns into night,
Being in your arms just feels so right, The world is dark but our future is bright
But that's only for us to decide
A collaboration with former poet McKayla Rose. Without her this would not have been written

By Arcassin Burnham

I couldpour the passion into this conversation,
We could talk awhile and have more further relations,
It's okay to be a little shy due to persuasion,
Don't be lost from the fallen dreams,
Please don't put the blame all on me,
For making you head over heels for me,
There's nothing volatile in our chemistry,
I was wrong enough to lead you on in the making,
I'm always nervous that's why I'm shaking,
Composure fail,
The love prevails,
A little off,
Your skin is pale.

If in one another's chemistry
a reaction occurs and
what was once hidden
our eyes can now see
then
take me to your laboratory
toot suite.
needs more coffee before brain kicks in.
