New Year’s night

There is a fire burning and people are drinking;
People are dancing and people are singing.
Auld Lang Syne; it’s another year gone.
So cherish this night, because it will soon be done.

The snow is falling all around us and many friends are merry;
So give everyone a hug and kiss those cheeks!
Come on now, feast upon the many cherries and berries;
Swig from the tankard and have yourselves some meat,
Because this is a celebration, so enjoy the feast!

Hold the one you love and greet your neighbour’s as family,
Because soon enough you will be back at each other’s throats.
So give them your blessings and wish upon a star;
Offer everyone a piece of peace
And see this New Year as a chance to end the feud
And as a chance for new relationships to grow.

With a raffling breath
I sate death neatly
I am now in trust
Dead
And being played into new life
There's a swelling of new strifes
and wavings from within
Heats of organisms
Worlds accelerating
Pulsion
Gases waste and gases invitations
take place where I have been
A celebration
A bedding
If only The Humans would leave
the 'Dead Body' be
Just when I am finally achieved
They make a bother
I'll make out a doner card
No, a placard
"No Preservation Upon Death !
Corpse Rights Remain !"

Some people think I’m crazy
Because I sing and I dance.
In public and in private, too
I’m known to do it every chance.
I wiggle and I also cha cha
A bit of waltzing and the twist.
I hear a bit of music playing
And it’s just too hard to resist.

I dance to the music I hear
In the commercials on TV.
I boogie under the bright sun
And under the shading trees.
I dance in the morning too,
And in the evening light.
I can’t do it anymore, but
I used to dance all night.

I’ve danced in famous discos
And in seedy little taverns.
I’ve danced on top of bridges,
On mountaintops and caverns.
I’ve danced in my fancy clothes
And if the party could take it
I have even danced with great joy
Totally bare-assed naked.

Many of my older friends tell
Dancing will keep me young
And I’m fairly sure it will
Help me reach the next rung
On the long ladder of my life
From yesterday until tomorrow.
But I am just as sure it does
Chase away aging sorrows.

I’m slow when I walk now.
My eyes are getting rheumy.
I get crabby sometimes.
I know it. So sue me.
I only hope, when it’s time
That you remember this song;
That you have the fun I’ve had,
That you should live this long.

Being young wasn’t always
The basket of puppies was it?
Remember the growing pains
And all the things that cause it?
It requires that we persevere
And face things less than fun.
It starts right away in life
Well before the age of one.

Every age has it’s roadblocks
And sometimes its outrages.
Some politely refer to them all
As life in all of its stages.
There’s getting back on the bike
After we tumble and fall.
Rollerskating and sports, too.
We manage to learn from them all.

Age makes treasures of memories
And gold of the brass we once had.
The thing is to celebrate age too.
Applaud this stage and be glad.
Slow down when the old must walk
And have some good words to say.
And then walk behind them and smile
Because they are showing you the way.

A cute chocolate truffle cake
Brought mysteriously
Without my knowledge at all.

My team & colleagues
clapping and singing
Happy Birthday
Which
means a lot to me.

While I cut the cake
with shaking hands
Anxious a bit
Not used to
So much of attention
How to express my emotions
Whether happy or sad,
I don't know what to do

As all of them
Gave me a reason
To smile a bit
And be happy despite
of challenges.
My birthday on this Sunday but my team brought a beautiful cake to cherish upon.
Sorry all of you for not being around much here. Hectic schedule does make me low
But trying to get back on reading and writing poetry here more often.
Hp is always a family to me, and you all have been my pillar during the storms and thunder.

Surrounded by confetti
Heart shaped
Yet no love found
All there's silence
No words to speak
The soul renders
Foggy mists of memory
Bottled up
In cracks of the room
Like the winding roads
Of time lapsed

i blink.
days spent in the library
gnawing at the bone of academia
howling on nights spent in essays
and finally lying down to rest
when the barking is all done
it passes in an instant.
i blink.
the incessant fluttering
the chirps and songs dissonant but
after a long day's work
the birdhouse still is so comforting
how the days have gone by
and so soon it will just be a memory.
i blink.
poem upon poem
upon day upon day
from birth to cocoon it grew
some poems later it took flight
there are more gardens elsewhere
its been ages now but perhaps
it will find heart to come again.
i blink.
the paws have learned
not to crawl on the piano keys
but to strut on them
the chords don't sound so accidental
rather they purr warmly
and echo even now.
i blink
and prepare for the world again.
my birthday has just passed by.
it's so strange to think. i joined this website when i was 15. it's nearly been four years!
thanks for joining me this past year. here's to the poetry that 19 will bring me!

Walk the stage without a care,
Present your speech with a bit of prayer,
Throw your cap up in the air,
And show up anyone who ever dared
To tell you the opportunity wasn’t there,
Because you did it.

Congratulations, class of 2018!
5/26/18

It’s nearly 5am and I should be getting ready to sleep, but this graduating stuff still has me hyped, even after the celebrating is over. We did it, guys! Hold on to this same attitude of energizing inspiration, motivation, and celebration, because it’s only going to get better from here. Congratulations, class of 2018! WE DID IT!

Years ago I wrote on
how I would always be there
for every birthday of every person
I have never had the chance to meet.

I faithfully stand
by my words
that each person's birthday
I wish to cherish your day
the life that you have.

It is only through compassion,
understanding, and appreciation
that we can all come to realize
how interconnected we truly are.

So today is my birthday
but today I give you my hopes
and these are not for myself
to have the best day today,
but for you my friend to have the best of yours.
I offer you all I can.  I do not know what support you have, but I will provide you the best I can.  Happy birthday to all the people needing someone to cherish them.
