In my youth I said I was more than black.
That my melanin was skin deep,
just a glance doesn’t reveal anything.
Time has taught me that I’m black enough.

I’m black enough that I got a college degree
to go with the Oreos kids called me

Black enough to pause when a cop rolls
by, even though I’ve committed no crime.
Black enough that I got family doing time.

Still black enough to be excited
about Black Lightning, Black Panther and Luke Cage.
Black enough to know people will see we are more than rage.

Black enough to never
let anyone call me outside my name,
and to rock twists until they became my mane.

See I’m black enough to know
I’m blessed enough to be made in his image.
That every breath in this body is a privilege.

I’m blessed enough to have two parents at home.
Blessed enough that God’s with me when I roam

I’m blessed enough to use these words as weapons,
cutting down all societal expectations.

Blessed enough to know that yes,
I am more than black,
but I’m still black enough.

And I'll take on the world.
This is me,
Whole again.
Taking every new step,
Conquering it without you.
This is me,
Holding hands with someone
Who wants to keep me,
Cherish me for who I am.
This is me,
Forgiving you for the hurts I've felt.
This is me,
Thanking you for letting me go,
Discovering a life I'd never imagined.
I am blessed that you let me go.
Truly blessed, to had you in my life.

A unicorn princess lived near sea.
Saying a prayer with a special plea.
He wanted to see a mermaid so grand,
who swam in grace on watery land.

"Alas great mermaids do come near
so I can thank you, your so dear.
You have great tails that are yes swell
inside of dreams I see you well."

"Show yourselves I now do say
We can celebrate all day.
I will give you a ride in sun,
no ones here so we'll have fun.
Oh I love you mermaid sweet,
it is you I'd like to meet."

After the Unicorn recited his poem.
On seashore with waves he did roam.
Until soon they met inside time.
They echoed in a sacred rhyme.

And when day did end she Yes left
The Unicorn he felt so blessed.

Blessed New Year
A light shines through the opening
to the changes which time's doors open and bring.
The sun warms the ice
As do our hopeful hearts melt away last year's fear.
We stand tall and proud and wipe our slate clean.
Once a year we can dare to venture to new grounds
that make up planned resolutions
which we place into action
We have limitless futures and venture, closer, to our promised lands.
Free of despair and evil.
Free to shine as one's self and grow
Old or young we all share one thing in common...
Dreams that we will never let die
We fight to win their worth
And so ,with such, growth and warmth
We see our Human hearts glow.

It's been a while
Life's been good, been kind, been blessed
Immense gratitude
Words with meaning.

Did you know that you're the luckiest person in the world, you are blessed enough to see the most beautiful person everyday before anyone can, that woman who is amazing, loving, caring, smart, ****, intelligent, mesmerising and soulful, I wonder everyday how your eyes glow up when you see her because she exist in your everyday mirror.

Blessed beyond measure
Filled with gladness beyond compare
For everything in my life is a treasure
More than answers to a prayer
Thankful for this life
For this time that I was given
As of most days were filled with joy
For a sinner had been forgiven
With God by my side my transgressions
destroyed
Thankful for His power
For His essence full of light
For His beauty full of grace
For His love giving my eyes sight
To look up to his face
Finding peace in his presence
Finding hope in his mercy
For I was just a peasant
Unworthy
Of the grace
That will be forever present
In this place

Creative morals
Lead me to new moments,
Which I thank them
For sharing
If not then.

To be blessed,
One must struggle first
And know right from wrong.
Not to boast, but thirst
For patience must take time
Yet age is not so long.

They zipped out onto the train tracks,
Don’t hold the others back.
Ice cold lights with splattered wet
Rain on them, you always regret
Because we decide to forget.

Oh, but let us be distant!
Talking trails to terrible tunes
Compared to the empty bliss
Of sand dunes.

You must wonder why
Leaves fall off trees
For when I think of you,
Just the thought
Shakes up my knees.
starting to get out of my comfort zone
