Deferred thought my mind speaks
but unable to reach
Since, lacking proper fuel
words are no more than tools
Idly on the shelf
All alone by themselves
Whether each has the skill
Makes no difference still
Needs a user to wield
The brain must be unsealed
Else it's nothing but noise
And will only annoy
To communicate one
Has to pay attention
And your message think through
It is important to

Listen right back
Without barbs or attacks
Open-mind speaking freely
Add diplomacy
Must employ use of tact
Support statements with fact
Do not rush; take your time
Critical? Then be kind
Not a must to agree
Can't force someone to see
Each of us has his thoughts
Throughout life we are taught
There are social patterns
Easily to discern
So, wherever you fall
Do not build up a wall

Keeping out you will win
As you lock yourself in
Rigid form without flex
New ideas will perplex
Ignorance and denial
Grow into a pile
On island alone
Statue made of stone
In your mind you’re entombed
Happy life is now ruined
Feeling always against
With a paranoid sense
A refusal to see
An unwavering tree
But a tree can still bow
Give and take it will show

Rigid thoughts become firm
Close your mind; will not learn
Placing all of the weight
Just for you; here to take
And must always support
Forcibly will contort
Having flex we adjust
This in life is a must
Something we can not do
Like to uncook a stew
Won't exist very long
People just not that strong
Or should they try to be
A journey incomplete
Happiness lies within
On these words please don’t spin

A sole island you're not
Harmony should be sought
Infinite universe
You can’t always be first
Finding balance in life
Like to see without sight
Each of us wants respect
But to give is to get
Listen up before talking
Use foot and start walking
Will find in due time
Not to bother or mind
People are free to think
From each other we drink
How we grow and evolve
Complex problems we’ll solve

Not a perfect system
But we gather wisdom
Always strive to improve
It’s the best we can do
To communicate we
Open our minds to see
And try to understand
Flawed and kindred humans

If you ask me what I liked about you,
The answer is – I don’t know.

Maybe it’s your eyes.

How it was covered by thick glasses,
Or how the bags have permanently
resided below them.

Maybe because of how they twinkled
When a new song would come up,
Or the way they squint
When you try to act cute.

Maybe because of the loneliness
Reflected on them when you look at her.
How they followed her direction
With sadness and adoration.

Maybe it’s the way they shed tears
- tears that she does not deserve.
Or how I wanted to wipe them off
And replace them with eye smiles.

Or maybe how I wanted them
To land at my direction.
Yeah, maybe it was your eyes.

Or maybe it’s your nose.

How it’s not pointed and small enough.
How your eye glasses have rested on its bridge,
Or how it wrinkles when you don’t like something.

Maybe It’s the way you smell
The scent of coffees and cigarettes,
Or how they get clogged when you cry
And how mine gets clogged too.
Maybe it was your nose.

Or Maybe it’s your lips.

How thin and dry they are.
How they smirk at stupid things.
Or maybe because of the words
That spill from them.

Maybe it’s the way they tremble
When you struggle to speak bisaya.
Or the way your tagalog accent comes out
When your angry, annoyed or confused.

Maybe it’s the way they move
As you whisper I love you’s
And sana ako nalang to her,
While I whisper those to you.

Maybe how I wanted to taste those lips
On mine and savor its softness.
Or maybe even just for the way they curve
Into smile when you are with her.

Maybe the way you frown
When she’s with somebody else.
Or maybe I wanted to also wipe those out.
Yeah, maybe it was your lips.

Or maybe I simply don’t need a reason at all.

When I wake tomorrow, there will be no waiver. No wall or water to crest over me. When my kneck pulls my head from the pillow of bed, I will stare into the eyes of a newborn day, and challenge it with anew consistency.

Nothing...today...will stop me.
Its time.
this alteh kocker nostalgically reflects
     being ma late mama's boytchik
(now, she long since deceased,
     whose cremated remains of day

scattered to all points on compass)
     fondly referencing
     both sisters as dabchick
incongruously sprinkled her Brooklyn brogue,
especially when angry, she quickly segued

     from mild expletive fiddlestick
the latter playfully aired,
     when kibitzing wit bubeleh
reminiscing being dirt poor,

     every now an again homesick
regaling the whole mishpokhe
     (meaning us brood of kids)

interrupting herself
     with frequent non sequiturs
     discombobulated anecdotes switching subjects
     as if external forcefield

     jimmying a joystick
interleaving disparate threads with subsequent
     tangential linkedin snippets
     with feigned lovesick

chatting 'bout cockamamie
     "Grandpa Moishe"

I  Rose. More than a Rose.
She stands there posing, strikingly.
Beauty glowing  flowing tastefully
Wrapped in history adorned with knowledge draped with class.
A eye for the future a smile for the present inspiration that will last.
Heart filled with peaceful emotions, seasoned with experiences involved
in current events.
Free from bitterness, hatred, prejudices the things that normally prevents.
Eyes infiltrating,
Nose detecting, inhaling, exhaling.
Clarity, rationality, dignity.
Expressions for all to be equally free.
Rejecting any unsavory thought.
Pushing past all things unrightfully bought.
A smile, a frown, lips that perk, lips that pout.
Lips that speak of what  loves about.
Quietly gazing at her surrounding.
Admiring people as they are passing.
With a mind in tune,
Words kept not to be spoken too soon.
Never over estimating hardly judging
Tries to keep from merely speculating.
Baring six sons seasoning knights for the future.
Having laid down a foundation studied by lecture.
HeavensRosepoet more than a rose battled storms and tribulations.
Rains came to wash away burdens traces bringing jubilation.
Not many knows her story.
In future may be known her glory.
Come abide with her, read of  her, share with her comparing life its history.
We all stand like zillions of Roses protected by our thorns.
Singing our stories with the word as our swords.
Much more than just a dozen Roses.
All singing our stories with striking poses.
Giving much needed testimony it’s like healing word therapy
Inhale the fresh crisp breeze that flows from HeavensRosepoet so justly so poetically.
Despite the roughest of elements Ms.HeavensRosepoet.
She stills stands, She survives and grows.
Poem on self..

I bet the one who survived best
Was the one who did just enough
to spare the lash, but taste no ire
who slipped away when shots were fired

I wonder how they saw themselves
a rat, a man?
God knows what else

In thought as in plan,
in work as in bust

Everything is as was ever done.
Twist me into pretty little knots
Like the ones
your fingers
Left in
my hair
Like the ones
Your words
Left in
  My stomach
What can I offer to make you stay?
Nothing you say -
It seems that nothing
Is everything that I am these days
But I'm afraid
You can't even have that

So I'll let you
Inside of me instead
And I'll moan
Right into - your ear
Do you love me now?

I will cut open
my own veins
And give you a taste
Of what's really - inside
Do you love me now?

I will kiss you
Until my lips chafe
And my teeth shatter
Till you - don't want me
Do you love me now?

I scream your name when I sleep
How about now?

I drink your memory like whiskey
How about now?

I think of you alone in the shower
How about now?

I broke myself to please you
How about now?

I will bleed myself dry every day for the rest of this life and the next one if that means that you will love me
How about now?

Do you love me now?
How about now?

Me
There are days when I mourn for her, before she got too comfortable with her sadness, — before she became me.

for ****'s sake give your superficial ego a break‬

‪it masks your insecurities‬
‪but an empty person is all I see‬
‪all your potential has been absorbed by chemicals‬

‪all the pain has messed up your brain and I tried to refrain ‬
‪but I want to help you go back to yourself again‬

‪p.s. i dont like you, i dont love you‬
‪.....anymore‬.
