  May 2014 Forgotten Dreams
lost girl
"It'll make you happy darling. Aren't you tired of being sad all the time? Just one whiff and you'll be on a roller coaster that only goes up."

"It'll make you feel alive darling. Don't you want that? All it takes is just one sip."

"You won't feel a thing darling. Aren't you tired of feeling? Just one slit on each ****** wrist and it'll all be over."

Which will you chose to destroy yourself, darling?

Sometimes we live our lives out of fear.
Sometimes we are unaware of what is actually real.
Sometimes we take things for granted before they disappear.
Sometimes we need to break our glasses to see in the clear.

Look around and what do you see?
Beauty lies within the nature of every facet you perceive.
Take a moment to suddenly pause time;
becoming aware of your zen state of mind.

When you observe droplets of water falling from the engorging sky,
visualize that moment frozen in time.
Become mindful of the chemical process elegantly combined;
as you experience the moment before it passes by.

Clarity will suddenly reach its remarkable peak,
after reliving the vicarious journey of the droplets feat.

Sometimes we stop living our lives out of fear.
Sometimes in the mist we become aware of what is real.
Sometimes we cease taking things for granted after they disappear.
Sometimes we need to fix our glasses to continue seeing clear.

By: Michael M. De La Fuente
This poem was crafted after observing water fall from the sky while meditating outside a Buddhist temple.
When someone is gone
it hurts your heart
the way no one can describe or compare
a different kind of hurt
you don't know it because it's their hurt,
their love
their memories
that have vanished from
their heart.

When someone is gone there is an empty spot in your day
there is something missing, that they do
there is something missing, that they say
there is something missing that you feel
it feels lonely and dark
sometimes it doesn't feel real.

the moment you know,
everything changes
they are here and gone in a flash.

your heart is heavy
your eyes are sore
your stomach is queazy
your legs are weak.

what do you do without your love
pray?
cry?
scream?

you have to live and live for them
you have to thrive and thrive for them
you do the things you want to do
and you do the things they cannot do
you do it all for them
you do it because they can't
you do it because they didn't want to.
Lies in a bath tub,
filled to the brink.
He has tried to go under,
He has tried to sink.

He maneuvers his fingers slowly,
To the edge of the blade.
His goal is to only,
Make the memories fade.

But not much will change,
The more he will suffer.
Lets try again?
One cut after another.

Warm blooded,
The water turns red.
He is still alive,
He is not dead.

His hope is religion,
His strength he must trust.
Take all the bad memories,
Turn then to dust...
I was diagnosed with depression and I have struggled with life many days
Forgotten Dreams May 2014
She sat in that chair by the window,
Watching as life went by.
Hoping to receive the letter,
The letter that never arrived.

She sat in that chair by the window,
Listening to the sounds of life.
Clutching to the hope of the letter,
The letter that never arrived.

She sat in the chair by the window,
With the light fading from her eyes.
She never gave up the hope of the letter,
The letter that never arrived.

As I sat in that chair by the window,
With a tear running from my eye.
I wished I had sent that letter,
The letter that never arrived.
This is my first poem on here and I know it *****. In case people wondered the poem is about my Great-Gran, she had a long struggle with life and finally passed away in November 2012.
