Erian Rose May 2020
seasons pass
months fly by
crisp November air
trembles bittersweet
changes go past
from streetlights on main
to budding riverbanks
a love lost
for something and somewhere
far out from grasp
Erian Rose May 2020
we held onto dreams
wider than the Milkyway
dancing under the pouring rain
wishing dandelion buds
into a one-way to center stage

we stayed up past daybreak
conquering our fears
shaping them to laughter
timeless to the melody of
Our wild hearts
Erian Rose May 2020
I was born a poet
forever-be
before I realized
I was sneaking behind
plastered brick walls
at recess bells
transforming the world
into words
spilling ink pens dry
I was born a poet
I embraced beauty,
enfolded magic,
encased the man on the moon,
tracing bare sentences
amidst pure wonder
until their final moments
till they cried
the truths of neverland
upon the immense star clusters
I am a poet
Erian Rose May 2020
Her eyes blossom of frosty summers
kissed in gentle storms
of cocoa and honey
Erian Rose May 2020
Where waves broke
pounding on the shoreline
where salt and foam fled
crashing into rigid stones
Clear blue waters
dark as charcoal moonlight
hammering in hurricanes
Racing with the constellations
to a place of stardust
Where she found
her home in the twilight
Erian Rose May 2020
She was
footprints traced in sandy waters
sunflower fields
bloomed in thorns
thunderstorms swept
in salty air
Her spirit twinkled
of northern lights
flirting with a million acres
of honeydew blossoms
She was
the magic
that he adored
Erian Rose May 2020
Summer pondered
in everlasting hands
clasped to rose
watching comets fly
while daydreaming
of Paris
on stardust nights
