Have you ever noticed
The green leaves in the summer
Ever thought about the moment they would turn
A different color
When the yellows and oranges begin to bleed through
Or do you only notice their beauty
Before they whisper "Adieu"

At nights when I can’t utter
a word from my ugly mouth

My eyes pour out the words,
and I make a wish to be yellow

Shades of green
Softly flow as lucid dreams
A pristine gleam
Rising heights towards the light
Gentle tones as canes bow
The air parts through yellow darts
Our periphery unseen

Sharp leaves and strength condensed
Where short roots shape new shoots
Support structures or weapons of war
To create beauty or destruction
The choice be yours

Dear Blue,

I wonder what goes through your mind when you hear my name.
Was it the wrong timing or the wrong person?
Wait, were you the one? Is there only one?
Can you choose who you love?
What lesson did I learn from meeting you?
Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

-Your once sweet girl, Yellow.

My favorite color used to be yellow,
it was my sun,
it kept me warm and happy

But as I grew older crimson
became my favorite color

A slow death,
crimson drips from my wrists
as I turn cold and pale
I miss being yellow.

A mellow flower
Waving in the wind
Dried yellow
A long while ago
Yet holding on
To the plant stem
Unwilling to let go
Of its past.

Don't fight each others bad sides
Fight the bad sides together
We need to stand together and fight together.
