Ignoring nightmares
Listen to the night's chorus
Moonlight beams vivid
To my fellow Kings and Queens!
I wish you a good night! ^-^
Just a heads up, I'm working on a poem about tea.
Hopefully it will be out tomorrow.
Anyway, sweet dreams everyone!
Night!

When I think of all the tears and turbulence life has
given me, it sometimes makes me hard for
me to forgive this world

I usually would find peace in the solitude
and my waters would be still. I'd
honestly prefer that than to
feel alone amidst this
sea of life

But now, I've learned to dance with the
naiads by the Springs of Many Lives.
With her hand in mind, the life-stream
strums and begins to form rings

Each ripple made is a bond that
grows stronger in time
Each one beaming
with many hues

Now I see, the true beauty of life.
The waters will run hot, cold and
warm. We all will dance
different dances.

But the Naiads show me the beautiful
bonds I have made with my fellow
Kings and Queens on HP from all
walks of life who wear their
crowns with pride.

That is a life I yearn for.

For my diadem to be made of
pure starlight.

For me to have such understanding
makes me shed true
tears of joy.
I'm back! And I'm not feeling as stressed as usual so I'll be able to finally share my work! My course has been crazy! A lot has happened today. Today we were supposed to pick someone from the whole group and pay them a compliment on what they're great at - and surprisingly, people did pick me (I got like 2 or 3 compliments regarding my bubbly energy and passion as well as my knowledge!) I'm still flattered and surprised, so it meant alot to hear that.

This poem is inspired by Sue's 'Naiads poem! ^-^
Got more coming along the way!
Thanks so much, everyone!

My Court is a battle
As a Queen, I will endure
so my kingdom thrives

Standing in gardens
My treasure trove of colours
that never fails me

Flowers bow gently
The winds make the tall trees sing
Rivers flow calmly

Scents drift in the light
I hear its sweet melody
As I stand with pride

A Queen now enters
The daughter of Spring and Deer
The tender Queen Fawn

Who smiles so sweetly
Fragrant, soft-spoken and kind
With deer by her side

Another Queen comes
The angel with a kind heat
The gentle Queen Sue

Who has healed her wounds,
broken her chrysalis
And spreads her warm light

Another Queen comes
Wise and soon to be married
Joyful Queen Donna

Who goes with the flow
A talented haikuist
with a flower crown

Another Queen comes
She who is always giving
The giving Queen Kim

Whose crown's a halo
And her words, so spiritual
fragrant and calming

Another Queen comes
Who has birds singing so sweet
The sweet Queen Robin

Who is a true joy
Whose words are just like music
A kindred spirit

And now a King comes
Who is very much like me
The great King Omni

Who is an artist
Who is both seen and unseen
Very much like me

Another King comes
Ever so mischieveous
The playful King Paul

Such a playful tease
He who makes me smile and laugh
And looks out for me

Another King comes
His heart is strong and tender
The wise King Edmund

Who writes for himself
Speaks so well of others and
how vital love is

To these Kings and Queens
Thank you for your melodies
You are golden souls

For now I do see
The true power of my quill
My ink is gold too

I write out my life
My pain, my fears and my loves
And my achievements

I must stay above
I will walk with my head up
and ignore the bad

People will hate me
But I will thicken my skin
to be a true queen

I will empower
And give you all your respects
and never denounce

I am a true Queen
With a Court that is growing
steadily but strong

The reign of Queen Lyn
Who is sensitive and shy
It has just begun
To these poets in particular, thank you so much for pushing me forward!
I'm grateful to everyone here to all my fellow poets on HP
You're all Kings and Queens of your own right!
Much love and blessings!

I came up in Pittsburgh,
the Rust Belt of hard labor
with a deep love of community.
As children, we collected railroad spikes
from the tracks and we cut our shins
on random iron shards in **** hills.
Some of us were union middle-class
and others breathed the gray air of poverty.
That hardly mattered. As we stood atop
foothills that overlooked the city skyline,
soot embedded under our fingernails,
we lived as kings and queens
that oversaw the future.

A Queen in waiting, a Princess no less.
Each day, a routine before being seen.
For some, a shadow and not of the eye.
The kind you'd find on that of a guy.
An army of pogonophobes in dysphoric confusion.
Each purging our wardrobes,
a repeated delusion.

A leading *******
from a pornographic circus.
The ***** under graduate from
a school of *** workers.
Your Hubby's vision in blue
is our secret down south,
'cause he wouldn't kiss you with
that ***** mouth.

So, I'll stop you there Sizzle Chest
with your cans of Stella
in your pristine white vest.
'Cause this is real easy,
even for you Mr ******.

I used to be a Princess but
now I'm a Queen,
recently coronated
after all that I've seen.

Poetry by Kaydee.
Hazy musings from a land of candy pink
are the dreams of a Princess.

Ego
We all have that desire
to climb high.

High enough to touch
the Heavens who watch
us through the stars.

High enough to look
down, admiring how
we got to that height,
with all the twists and
turns, stumbles, pauses
and falls.

Some have the chance of
being above the rest
earlier than many.

Those ones usually get drunk
on the power of being above,
never below. The head and
not the tail.

Their egos swell and all they
see, hear, touch and smell
are themselves.

I know because so many have
looked down on me from
above. And you know
what, I smile.

For one thing, you don't
know what sort of moral
compromises they made to
get to where they
are, which is why
I don't envy them.

Or if I do feel any slightly
envious, it's only for
a moment.

But one thing that I've
realised is that those who
get to the top, who look down
on me, who knock off the
crowns of arising kings
and queens.

Can't see what's above their own heads
and just as easily, they can crash and
burn.
This poem in particular is something I've been telling real good friends of mine for years. I realised this early and I've witnessed it first hand. At that moment, I didn't really feel envious for what people have. Although, I can't deny that I do feel slightly envious of what people do. Travelling, seeing the world, not having to worry about finances. They're stable. If I ever envy anyone, this is why.

I don't envy celebrities. I don't know what sort of sacrifice they made to get to where there are. There's no profit in gaining this world at the cost of my own soul. Not worth it at all. I won't ***** myself in anyway just to get a piece of fame. I believe that if I work hard, and with a lil luck, some hope and determination, it will come my way eventually. I'm not racing with anyone. I won't compete with anyone. I know better than that. I'm not perfect, I know that. So? I'm human just like you. I will mess up along the way. It's fact.
I won't pretend I'm something greater, knowing my flaws and faults.

Anyway, thank you everyone for all the love and kind comments.
You're all amazing!
Be back soon!

just a young chocolate girl, in a toxic world. dipped in caramel and glitter with some tight chocolate curls.
how are you young chocolate girl?
are you happy and healthy?
are you successful and wealthy?
do you smile? do you laugh?
are you stuck in the past? are you over-thinking life?
why you quit on yourself? why you quit on the world?
hoping to be free like the normal girls.. that are living faster than the moral girls,
how you 20+ with no morals girl?
how you still let them young boys get to you,
how you less paid and more ******?
never mind that,
how your body on fleek but your mind whack?
how don't you miss an event?
trying to impress those that care less..is it hard to pretend?
you, young chocolate girl? are you lost in this world?
you should be searching your soul,
and setting your goals.
growing, knowing, minding your business.
$1,000 shoes and Gucci purses ain't at the top of your wish list.
you don't do it for the gram and you too focused on your goals to be dumb over a man.
you just do it like you planned and they do it like they can. why they just gossip like they fans?
set an example young chocolate girl, you gotta be strong for the younger chocolate girls.
you gotta teach her that its more to the world.
that love and unity means more than diamonds and pearls.
shape her and grow her, help her to get her **** right.
while you get it right so you can be bright and shine upon her, cause these little flowers need light.
young chocolate girl.. dont wait on the world.
be happy,
you are peace and you are love.
never lose your sparkle, you are a star from above.
you are the sweetest creation, and you are blessed beyond what you see.
don't settle, dust settles. it will get better.
so seek and don't be blind and then you will find that everything is yours already if you just free your mind.

oh, and young chocolate queens.. lead your special chocolate kings.
also confused and lost in some non-chocolate sauce.
help us, all powerful source.
God. Jesus?
shepard, your sheep's are lost.
why are the things they teach us so... off.
you are with us through the suffering? tell me when will it get better? will we be stuck and comfortable one more week or will we suffer forever?
am i not supposed to question you?
then how will i know? .. &
how come the ones that do the most ugly never reap what they sow?
& why must we wait for heaven, when we're only sure about earth? i said why must we wait for freedom and happiness while we are content broken and hurt.
how can i not worry about the nation when they don't live as you say,
but things continue to go on the same everyday.
dear Jesus? please show mercy on your children.
actions speak louder, please show us that you love us.
please open our minds, & open our eyes and show us what's among us...
dear universal God,
lead your children to whats promised.
take the blindfold off our eyes, and give us hope for tomorrow.
rid us of the pain and sorrow,
make our hearts pure and make us royal.
everything we face make us question and make us wise.
be our guide. lead us,
mold us into true KINGS and QUEENS. less followers more leaders.
ranting at 4am. raw & real. honestly without having to even think about words to write, i wrote this effortlessly and its simple but its coming from such a genuine place in my heart with such genuine feelings i can't even explain.

Times have changed,

We are no longer meek, little girls hiding behind our knight in shining armor to defeat our enemy,

Sometimes we have to fight for our knight with swords in our pretty, delicate, soft hands,

But more often, we have to fight for ourselves, our honor, our life, our dignity,

Our little hands might shake, our eyes might water, our hearts might stop beating, but we should not stop the fire burning inside us,

We must step ahead for us, for every woman who has suffered, for every unborn girl who will be inspired by us someday,

If we don’t fight today, that girl might never be born, she needs to be born, she needs to hear our story, she needs us,
So, fight!
