Listen to the rain pour.
I mean- listen to the world's roar.
The wind; brash and arrogant.
Unseen forces leave strong trees bent.

*Lightening cracks open a blackened sky,
rolling thunder follows to say goodbye.

How did we come to be here
Next to each other
In the night
Were are the stars
That shows us our love
Outside the leafs flame
Unusually in the darkness
I am amazed by peace
It is the possibility of you
Asleep next to me
breathing in the quiet air

You don't understand
I guess you never will
all alone I stand
but in the presence of you

you don't know the thoughts
that are running through my head
you don't know the thoughts
of when my mind is red

You don't understand
I guess you don't need too
where you stand
you're not alone
so these thoughts do not affect you

I keep the details dim
So on the outside looking in
Nothing is as at seems
Everything just beams
It all seems so copacetic
But it's really so pathetic
Before long I'll need a paramedic

"Don't touch me...*"

But that's all I want
Touch me
Please just touch me
Even though I'm fractured and broken it's all I want
You frame my face in your hands and call me beautiful
But you've never asked why I wear warm clothes year round
I want you to touch me
Down my side beneath my sweater
Over my thighs seemingly permanently masked by dark jeans
Across my stomach and around my back
Touch me
Trace all these fractured cracks that were abandoned
Abandoned and called imperfect when my title was taken from me
You call me beautiful to my face
But can you say it to all of me
Touch me
And show me what I mean to you
Meow?

Answers hide somewhere.
I have searched for them,
but have not found.
Answers hide elsewhere.
Where I have sought,
they have not been.
I have looked outside,
now is time to look within.

Rain
It's raining and it's that time of year again
Kissing in the rain
Crying in the rain
Dancing in the rain
Driving in the rain
Picture in the rain
It's raining and I'm glad of that
It's raining outside
And for once,
It's not raining in.
It's raining outside
And we can now sit peacefully
And gaze out the window
As drops splash against it
Its raining outside
And we can both appreciate the beauty
Knowing that
It's not raining inside anymore.
Its raining outside
And you are happy
And so am I.
Its raining outside
But that's alright.

I am a prisoner to the outside .
I am never getting in .
I am flowing with the gentle tide
That does not flow within .

You keep me here ,
Never letting me free
Not even when I shed the tears
You will never ever see

I remain on the outside ,
Never getting out .
No matter how much I've tried ,
You will never hear me shout .

Although my cries are silent .
My thoughts run deep ,
My eyes are a red tint ,
My eyes tired of , weep .

I observe from the outside .
Freedom is what I will never gain .
I am drowning in the gentle tides .
A prisoner I will remain .

Go outside.
Because outside is where the beasts lay.
They'll run with you all the way,
In such a sprint that you never tire
Or lose your breath
Or shiver your legs
At all.

Outside is where the sharp angles rest.
Deep cuts in straight lines, red blood dripping like rain,
And stones that have been cracking for centuries but never broken.

The great outdoors, that's where the fairies live.
They'll love you like you never knew love before.
It's the raw lips that kiss the roughest,
The calloused hands that hold on the tightest.
The rock-kissed fingers, they're designed to never let go.

Soft lips bruise. Mountainous lips live on forever.

Supple skin burns. Hard-cut edges light the flame in the sunrise.

Well-rounded means spoiled. Raw spirits mean earning the spoils.
Nature is telling us that we are not built for comfortable lives. We belong with our brothers, the wolves. We need to light the flames in each other to fight the wind. We need to be brash.
