By early mornings light
Shadows disperse
Run for cover to the dark roots
Subterranean refuge
Safety in the cold earth
Mother Nature’s bedrock womb
Necrosis of light gestates
Rests its weary, starless mind
Gloom retires, lies in wait
Twilight beckons the return
Where does darkness go when the sun comes up?

It’s like,
I’ve seen the face before,
but can’t quite place it,
it’s like,
I remember having a memory,
but can’t remember it or erase it,

face it,
the facts are basic,
some people can’t right their wrongs,
so instead of sobering up they get more wasted,

following new trends that all seem outdated,

tired,
but anxious,
wired,
but sedated,

what has happened to all out glory,
what’s become of all our greatness,
I guess we lost our identity in definitions,
and now the mirrors broken but we still have to face it,

It’s like,
I’ve seen the face before,
but can’t quite place it,
it’s like,
I remember having a memory,
but can’t remember it or erase it…

Laying here in my bed,
which lays in my sweltering room.
Laying here moody,
until I start thinking about you.
My room is so hot I'm going to die.

From one mood to another,
it's always "fun" being on a roller coaster.

Tree branches held my sanity
Joy came as fast as the termites
Still intact, even in mere vanity
Snap, now blind to the fairy lights

Buried my conscious & roots too deep
And at dawn when I finally sleep
Woken by the dirt shaking in a disaster
Uprooted but without any conscious beneath

there's a boy who came from boston
but i am reeling over you
one week since you were in my body
your impression left between my hips
against my ribcage
there's a boy
perhaps wondering
why i haven't given a time
for us to meet quite yet
i'm on my way and he has no clue
to the coffee shop you invited me to first
while there was still snow gathered at the curb
he's probably wondering why i never called
to say goodbye back then
i wonder if you've realized
that i haven't yet given you the same chance
because i'm hoping in agony
that there isn't a chance
something is growing inside me
something that's ours
because i'd keep it

Sleep is fleeting
Mirror cracks
Summer's stifling
Smiling lacks

Lovers leave you
Friends forget
Don't remember
Just regret

Milk turns sour
Leaders lie
Oceans burn
Don't ask why.
Rather melodramatic, but I wanted to play around with the form.

He thinks he's so invincible,
Power-ruled and drowned in glory;
Bathed in blood and gold, he howls:
The Wolf King, lonely as he is.
Missing love, missing love.
But he will know
The moon in her eyes,
For now, he is blind.
For my wolf boy.

Maybe the cold-hardened truth is;
you're cold hearted and ruthless.
Like a child, you're toothless
and clawless.
You are flawless.
You are wild.

Did I say "flawless"?
I meant "lawless".
The "f" is silent like all
the times you eye-****** me.
But I'll admit now that I ****** me.
Now, I'm awesomely awe-less.

I stare outside where it's wet,
like the way you say I make you.
Drops landing, soaking trembling grass.
We're dangerous and moral-less,
and I wonder if I make your
body feel anything anymore, or less.

I'd rather listen to
~~~~~~
       blood flowing from my ******* ear drums
     ~~~~~~
than five more minutes of you.
When your seething need for someone to IMMEDIATELY LEAVE is overpowered by your need to be creative.
