Many times I've been alone just reminiscing
Of kisses and hugs and what could have been
Of looks and touches and many Ifs
Of strokes and curves and things we would miss.

Many times I've been caught off guard
When forgetting seems to be so hard
When someone mentions your name
When I'm doing things we've done the same.

Those were the times we had.
The times when we're still mad.
And that's how they will remain.
Our reminder to keep us sane.

I’ve never looked out
and saw a man
who looked like all he wanted was affection
I’ve never looked out and saw
a heart I thought I might enjoy
but eventually break
because I think I need more than affection
I need a twin
a friend
a thousand times before I need a lover
That kid is beautiful
Hey
But he’s not calling me higher

The rain cascading from heavens above,
The drops melting on the velvet of your brow
Oh how we reached for each other somehow,
Like a wild rose hugging its supporting bough.
                                       *
Misty petals adoring the bees on its heaving *******
Lost in their frenzy  in their lovers nests
Consuming nectar from serene pits
Its sweetness only known to beloved's lips.
                                      *
Finally lover holding the beloved so tight
Together as one, enshrined in pure light
Its ribbons protecting it from the sight
But only lovers enjoy its  sweet delight.

Who am I to describe this tale
Of the realms that live yonder in the Vale
Those few who unfurl their sail
Attire the cloaks of mute Abigail.

A poem in parts
All stanzas are separate  or can be visualized separate.
parie Nov 2017
skies, that are the color
of the water left behind,
after doing the dishes.

clouds, that are so hope-
lessly pathetic. they hang
there; kinda doing their own
thing.

kisses, that are so full of
passion, and fill the space
of a thousand words.
no grief. just understanding.
understanding that makes your
lips sore.

raincoats, that look poetic.
unbuttoned, and collars flapping
limply. rainy days do no justice.
red raincoats, and dreams of
naughtiness.

cigarettes, smoked to the end.
an orange flame, in the darkness.
leaning against the wall; a careful
posture that's been practiced, and
eventually mastered.

roses, with thorns cut off
with a pair of kitchen scissors.
shaking hands, and nervous smiles.

poetry written on napkins, delivered
with blatant awkwardness. a messy scrawl
with black biro; words that say much more
than a mouth could.
i'm just raging poetic, i guess.

Your skin, your lips, your heat,
Your never-ending love so sweet,
Makes me question life indeed,
Because honey, you're all I'll ever need

I don't feel like it anymore, I must say.
Maybe I should put up a missing person
alert for my inner kid. He must be hiding
somewhere, I hope wherever that is i'ts not
a dark place, he was always afraid of it.
Maybe that is what I've loose, I think I must
come to terms with it. It's that time
of the year already when it's to late
for everything. To say hello and goodbye,
is this real, is it not,
no turning back, no way to run,
one eye blue and the other red,
one ear open and the other closed,
one hand reaching out and the other
clenched in a fist behind my back,
one sweet word and many a bitter silence.
Hand shakes and kisses, folks.
Telescopes and microscopes,
is all about points of view.

Hand shakes and kisses, folks.
I am what I am, nothing more than
the continuation of an idea.
I leave love notes on his skin
To remember my love for him
AD Snail Nov 2017
One kiss left my breathless,
It left me more lost than loved,
Losing my mind over this.

She brought sweet lips,
That spoke none of innocence.

Each hug was like a serpents grasp.

She brought my what she called love,
And it indeed was an addiction,
But for all the wrong reasons.

It's such a wonderful feeling
To wake up next to you,
One arm still wrapped around me,
Your face still so limp and unaware
The sun shining in,
Only allowing you to astonish me more
With every inhale
And every exhale
The slightest of cheek kisses wakes you,
Your eyes flutter so softly awake;
And as you start to grin a little "good morning grin",
You don't even realize how much my heart feels for you.
